Position Available: Facility Manager
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Facility Manager, reporting directly to the company directors. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of a facility currently processing 75 tons of laundry per month for various business units.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Business Management
Background and/or experience in the hospitality or related sector
3+ years of general management experience in a factory, production, or similar setting
Knowledge of process management and logistics
Proven people management skills
Human Resources knowledge advantageous
Basic understanding of or ability to learn specialized fields, terminology, and laundry equipment use
Computer proficiency is required
Driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Responsibilities:
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality linen to various units on time
Maintain required par levels through effective communication with managers
Optimize the functioning and management of the laundry facility
Oversee delivery and collection services
Implement and sustain best operating practices, including corrective actions as necessary
Manage and optimize processes, outputs, targets, and deliverables
Achieve outputs within financial targets
Adjust stock levels to meet customer demands
Improve linen lifespan through process and quality enhancements
Demonstrate visible leadership aligned with organizational values, operating model, and strategy
Manage relationships with customers/business units and suppliers
Recruit, retain, motivate, and develop staff according to organizational policies and practices
Lead and manage facility management and staff to achieve objectives
Foster a healthy employee relations environment
Drive staff productivity and quality improvements
Manage infection control, health, safety, environmental standards, and disaster management principles
Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 9001
Support Maintenance Manager to optimize equipment reliability and longevity through routine maintenance
Manage day-to-day maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Support the organization’s initiatives and projects related to the laundry
