🧪 Have you noticed that labels sometimes look like a chemistry ingredient list?

🧪 Have you ever thought how terribly harmful these chemicals potentially are for the body?

If you suffer at all from brain fog, memory loss, cognitive impairment, altzheimers or dementia then it's time to stop these toxins entering your system, and your brain 🫠

I'm referring to MSG, Colourants, Artificial Flavours and Preservatives - Please start looking at the ingredients of all packaged food and spices.

Items such as: glutamate,hydrolyzed, autolyzed, protease, carrageenan, maltodextrin, sodium caseinate, balsamic vinegar, barley malt, malt extract, yeast extract, brewer’s yeast, corn starch, wheat starch, modified food starch, gelatin, textured protein, whey protein, soy protein, soy sauce, broth, bouillon, stock, and seasoning - should all be avoided as much as possible as they cause or contribute towards the following:-

- Builds up in the brain causing chronic inflammation, disrupts electrical impulses, weakens neurotransmitters, burns out neurons - causing confusionand anxiety. Can lead to micro-strokes
- Weakens and injures the nervous system

Stick with proper food - food that's been grown in the ground, or picked off a tree, not food that's been placed in a box and put on the shelf to last forever.

The freedom to express - to have the ability to unashamedly laugh, cry, dance or sing is an inner expression of our thoughts, our beliefs and our truth! 

It's in these moments of complete truth that pure essence lives. The ability to live and speak from a place of absolute authenticity involves the freedom of being you without anyone's permission 🤍

*So how do you live in your truth?*

Start to understand what it is you believe... what aspects of life speak true to your soul - - - it's from this point that you enhance your truth 😌

From today I challenge you to start a journal and begin writing down the truths in life that speak to your soul -
* what excites you?
* what makes you happy?

And from this foundation you can begin to culminate your own thoughts, your own beliefs, your own truth 🪷

Anyone who knows me and my healing journey knows how much I love my potatoes!

Potatoes have been an integral part of my healing and to this day I will always ensure that I eat at least one potato every day! 😌

- Potatoes are antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial
- Potatoes have nutritional cofactors and coenzymes plus bioactive compounds to help keep you healthy and soothe the nerves thereby assisting you to deal with stress
- Potatoes can help heal digestive conditions
- Potatoes are abundant in L-lysine which inhibit viral growth
- Potatoes are nutrient dense for the health of the brain and kidneys
- Potatoes are great to stabilise blood sugar

Enjoy potatoes baked, steamed or roasted - here's a really tasty way to prepare them:

*Potato Tattie Scones*

Ingredients:
1 baked potato, pinch of salt, 1 tsp olive oil, 1/3 cup potato flour

Directions:
Grate potato into a bowl and add the salt and olive oil

Add flour one Tbsp at a time and mix into a stiff dough

Pat into 1 cm thick oval

Cut into wedges and fry in a non stick pan until golden and crispy on both sides

Remove from heat and enjoy!

If your blood sugar drops and your liver’s glucose reserves are low to nonexistent like most people’s are your adrenals are going to be forced to produce excess adrenaline to compensate—corrosive adrenaline that wears out your adrenals and strains your liver and nervous system. Of late there have been a few challenges that have cropped up in my life 🫠 Usually when this occurs our normal routine gets broken and the foundation that we are standing on becomes quite shaky - leaving us overwhelmed, ungrounded and possibly anxious 🥴

This is a good time to remind ourselves that the structure our routines offer to our life are incredibly stabilizing and as difficult as it may seem to incorporate them during the chaos it's so important to do!

A good daily routine is built on consistency, and intentional habits such as prayer, meditation, journalling, movement and good nutrition provide a base to springboard off 🌈

🌶️ *Did you know* that hot peppers (like chilli's) are potent, medicinal foods that offer significant health benefits?

Let's break it down...

* Immune System Boost: Ripe hot peppers (red, orange, yellow) are rich in a special, resilient type of vitamin C that acts as a strong antioxidant to wake up immune cells.
* Pathogen Defense: Capsaicin is a direct irritant to pathogens (viruses and bad bacteria). It can "heat up" and kill or weaken pathogens, particularly those located in the mouth, throat, stomach, and small intestine.
* Liver Stimulation: Hot peppers are highly beneficial for "stagnant," sluggish, or fatty livers. They help awaken the liver, promoting a "hot" liver to shift its energy and function more effectively.
* Mucus Movement and Congestion Relief: Chilli helps move, purge, and stimulate mucus membranes, which assists in reducing congestion.
* Lymphatic System Cleansing: The phytochemical compounds in hot peppers create a flushing action that helps move toxins out of a backed-up lymphatic system.

*Spicey Mango Sauce*

*Ingredients*
1/2 cup Mango pieces
3 garlic cloves
3 hot peppers (jalapeño, habanero, cayenne)
Juice of 1 lemon
3 TBSP of maple syrup
1/2 Tsp of paprika
1 Tsp of salt

*Directions*

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth - store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Delicious over salads, roasted potatoes or anything dish that needs an extra zing 🌶️

What is doubt?

Doubt is a visceral emotion that clouds your body, mind and soul into thinking you will fail - it is such a limiting emotion and can bring your body out of balance very quickly!

At times I have felt this unkind emotion and I have found some useful ways to address it. So if you are feeling doubtful about your abilities, or current path, give the following a go -

* pamper yourself
* surround yourself with motivating friends
* remind yourself of your successes
* read inspirational passages
* excercise and flex the body
* meditate on releasing these emotions
