Green peas are nutrient dense and filled with a variety of healing elements including vitamin B's, zinc, iron and calcium 🫛🫛🫛 Green peas are also incredible at reducing inflammation, regulating weight, supporting your heart and aiding your cognitive functions 💪🏻

*Oven-Roasted Green Peas*

*Ingredients*

• 2 cups (300 g) frozen green peas
• 1 tablespoon avocado oil
• Pinch of salt and any other spices ie: chilli flakes, paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, dried mint. etc...

*Directions*

Preheat the oven to 180°C

Defrost the peas by running under water in a colander then spread them out on a kitchen towel. Gently pat dry to remove as much excess water as possible or, if you have time, simply leave them to dry on their own (15 minutes if already thawed / a couple of hours from frozen)

Drizzle the oil over a baking sheet. Add the green peas, sprinkle with salt, and shake gently to create an even layer. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, shaking the pan regularly.

Other flavours: After 15 minutes or so, feel free to add additional seasoning such as chilli flakes, paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, or dried mint. Shake to coat and return to the oven for the remaining cooking time.

You'll notice that the peas on the outside of the pan cook more quickly than those in the middle, so it's important to move them around.

At the 20-minute mark, check the peas to see how they're doing and continue to roast for up to 10 more minutes if you want them crispier (being careful not to overcook).

Once crispy, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before eating.

Enjoy 😋

Hope... A feeling of trust ✨

How do we hold onto hope in times of crises?

There are a few things that you can do to ensure hope is the light you burn during stressful times🕯️

* Breath - by just bringing focus to your breath you can incorporate a sense of peace within

* Gratitude - by focusing on the blessings around you allows you to feel more grounded and connected to hope

* Release - taking an Epsom Salt bath is wonderful at easing the nerves and calming the mind so hope can get in

* Quiet - practicing meditation increases your inner peace and allows hope to grow

* Faith - believing in something greater than you aids in reducing your fears and increasing your hope

* Trust - embracing a trusting nature that everything will work out can help reduce anxiety and nurture a heart with hope

"*Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words, and never stops... at all*" - Emily Dickinson

May you feel, embrace and hold hope in your heart everyday 🤍

Your bladder is located in the 'root' of your nervous system, which is symbolic of our 'safety' in this world - being ungrounded or having feelings of fear, anxiety and insecurity trigger imbalance!

Continuing our conversation about bladder health from yesterday - there are quite a few herbs and food options that further support and encourage good balance in this area 🫶🏻

* Celery Juice: 480ml of straight celery juice on an empty stomach is considered a foundational, daily remedy to cleanse the liver and kill pathogens that can affect the bladder.
* Berries: Wild blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries are highly recommended for supporting the urinary tract and fighting bacterial infections.
* Lemon Balm: Known to reduce bladder inflammation, it is a key herb for managing interstitial cystitis and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
* Cranberries: Used to combat bladder infections and improve urinary tract health.
* Red-pigmented foods: Red apples, cherries, pomegranates, and beets are noted for supporting the bladder and reproductive organs.
* Asparagus: Beneficial for kidney and bladder health.
* Hydration: Watermelon and cucumber are highly recommended for hydrating and flushing the urinary system.
* Herbal Teas: Dandelion leaf and nettle leaf tea are recommended

And when you feel overwhelmed with it all speaking the following affirmation will aid in bringing calm to your body 🌈

"I release fear and embrace security - I trust life's natural flow"

Monday afternoon I started to feel that my bladder was very irritated and having experienced MANY of these sensations during my illness (sometimes every week!) my first thought was 'uuuggghhhhh' 😵‍💫 with my second being 'ok what has pee'd me off!?' 🤣

Now what most of us don't understand, until we do, is that bladder irritation is not necessarily a bladder infection! Bladder irritation is often confused as an infection and then is 'treated' as such with harsh chemicals that not only remove the irritation but also the goodness 🤔

Here's the science 🥸

"Interstitial cystitis (IC), or bladder pain syndrome, is chronic bladder inflammation without infection, while a urinary tract infection (UTI) is an acute bacterial infection. Both cause similar pain, pressure, and urgency, but IC is not cured by antibiotics and often lasts for months, whereas UTIs are temporary and respond to antibiotics."

So with this understanding I immediately reached for my go-to bladder health kit knowing that these remedies would address the symptoms if this was indeed bladder irritation and not infection:-

* Epsom Salt Bath: Warm water aids to relax pelvic muscles, easing tension and discomfort associated with conditions like Interstitial Cystitis or UTIs.

* Pelvic Floor Release Excercises: These excercises help with reducing, lengthening, and relaxing chronically tight or overactive pelvic floor muscles.

* Hydration: A huge glass of 480ml lemon water followed 30 minutes later with a 250ml glass of celery juice - then sipped on Lemon Balm tea overnight

* Rife Treatment: I also ran frequencies overnight that support the nervous system, digestion, kidney and bladder

Feeling very grateful and oh so thankful to the awaken in the morning feeling only slight pressure which continued to ease as my morning routine kicked in 😌 When we have the knowledge we are empowered within to heal ourselves 💪🏻

⚠️ However should you experience any abdominal / lower back pain, change in urine colour, discharge or odour please seek medical attention immediately!

When it comes to bringing in clean, healing options this also pertains to what you are drinking. It's no good making sure to avoid the nasties in food but still opt for sodas, energy drinks and those infused with caffeine 🥴 This refreshing iced tea is a wonderful healing choice that is so sweet, refreshing and very hydrating!

🌺 Hibiscus in itself has so many helpful benefits which include :-

* liver restoration
* autoimmune healing
* viral and bacterial reduction
* blood sugar balance
* lifting depression

*Hibiscus Lemon Iced Tea*

*Ingredients*

4 hibiscus tea bags or 2 tbsps loose hibiscus tea
3 cups hot water
3-4 tbsps raw honey
3 tbsps freshly squeezed lemon juice
1-2 cups ice, to serve
4-6 lemon slices, to serve

*Directions*

Place the tea bags in a teapot or jug and pour hot water on top. Set aside until it has cooled to room temperature. Remove the tea bags and stir in the raw honey and lemon juice.

Divide the ice and lemon slices between two serving glasses and fill with cooled tea.

Serve immediately 🥂

*Today is Meditation Monday*

Meditation allows your soul the chance to speak ✨ It also quietens the mind so that you can listen...

When you go into a meditative state ie. your mind is less busy, your breath is flowing evenly and your attention has drawn within - you allow your mind, body and soul to align. It's during meditation that you are closest to your true self and its in this state where a peaceful happiness rests. If you can bring yourself into this state every morning and evening, and hold it for a minimum of 20 seconds - you will find true peace 🦋

Today I am including a meditation that can assist you in creating your best life! Helping you to manifest your dreams by bringing a pause to find presence - Enjoy 💫

"When we don't return to baseline, stress accumulates in the body creating a wear and tear within your system" - J. Bobby

Did you know that living in the fight or flight response is often the biggest imbalance of hormones and the reason most woman suffer so much with PMS and menopausal symptoms 😖

Stress response is an automatic expression and can provide a challenging process when it comes to resetting - however the vagal nerve controls 80% of this process and is therefore a great asset at calming the whole system down. As we have previously discussed *breathwork* is one of the most effective ways to do this! Slow rhythmic breathing sends a powerful message to our nervous system that you are safe 🫶🏻

Here's a lovely podcast which speaks about why breath and mindfulness matters 🌈
