A Biokineticist is an exercise therapist who improves a person's physical well being and quality of life through individualized assessment and exercise prescription. Raeesa Shaik Biokineticist was established in 2011. Raeesa Shaik the owner has been practising in the field of Biokinetics since 2009. She graduated from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal with a Degree in Bachelor of Sport Science in the year 2007. In 2009, she completed her Honours Degree in Bachelor of Biokinetics from University of Johannesburg. Since then she has worked on building her practice which is based in Midrand. We work with individuals of varying ages from kids as young as four to the elderly. Our aim at Raeesa Shaik Biokineticist is to improve people’s lives through exercise management. Our motto is ‘Your greatest wealth is your health’. Biokineticist are exercise therapist qualified in the management of various diseases and injuries through exercise prescription. At Raeesa Shaik Biokineticist our main area of focus is:

January is the month of New Years Resolutions, and most of us have exercise on that list. As the year progresses, sticking to your resolutions usually becomes difficult.

Here are some useful tips to help you stick to your exercise program:

*Start slow. This will help avoid possible injuries and burnout.
*Make sure you set achievable/realistic goals.
*Have fun. Your workouts should be fun and not a task. Try to vary your routine so you don't get bored.
* Use the buddy system. Working out with a friend can assist in motivating you to stick to your routine while socializing.
* Reward yourself, if you have been consistent and meeting your goals, reward yourself with a massage or a new piece of clothing (stay away from food rewards).
