Bring your little one to church…

Not because they’ll understand everything.
Not because they’ll sit still the whole time.
Not because it will always be convenient or peaceful.

But because there is something beautiful about raising a child in the presence of God… even before they can speak His name.

Bring them even when they’re wiggly.
Even when you’re tired.
Even when you feel people might stare.
Because the truth? Most people aren’t judging you. Many of them are smiling, remembering the days they brought their own babies to church.

Bring your little one to church because these tiny, ordinary Sundays add up.
One day, they’ll recognize the songs.
They’ll mimic the prayers.
They’ll fold their hands the way you do.
And long before they understand theology,
they’ll understand the atmosphere of worship.

They’ll grow up knowing:
“This place is safe.”
“This place is home.”
“This place is where we talk to Jesus.”

Even if you spend more time rocking them than listening…
Even if you step out more times than you planned…
Even if your worship looks like calming a baby instead of lifting your hands.

It still counts.
God sees your effort.
He sees your heart.
He sees the way you’re choosing to plant seeds in your child’s spirit long before they bloom.

So keep going, momma.
Keep showing up, dad.
Keep bringing them because you’re building a foundation they will stand on for the rest of their life.

Tiny feet in God’s house today…
steady footsteps of faith tomorrow. 🤍

1 Kings 2:1-3-4, 2-3 MSG.. but you—be strong; show what you’re made of! Do what God tells you. Walk in the paths He shows you:
[2] “So be strong, act like a man, [3] and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to Him, and keep His decrees and commands, His laws and regulations, as written in Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.

I just had a baby.
And I’m not the same person I was a few weeks ago.

I’m quiet right now.
Not because I don’t care, but because everything feels a little louder than it used to.
Every cry, every thought, every feeling it’s all so big.

Please invite me, but don’t take it personally if I say no.
I’m still figuring out how to leave the house, how to feel like myself again, how to exist in this new rhythm that’s both beautiful and exhausting.

If I seem distant, it’s not you.
It’s me trying to hold it all together.
My body is healing, my heart is learning, and my mind is trying to catch up.

What I need right now isn’t advice or pressure to bounce back.
I need gentle people.
People who get that showing up doesn’t always look like it used to.
Sometimes it’s a text that says, “I’m proud of you.”
Sometimes it’s silence and understanding.

I don’t need perfect.
I just need patience.
Because I’m growing too.

I wasn’t breastfed. Neither was my mom. Or hers.
In my family, formula was the norm the “easier” way, the “modern” way.
But along with it came patterns I’ve spent my whole life trying to understand allergies, autoimmune issues, gut problems, mental health struggles. Generations of women just surviving.

When I became a mom, I decided I wanted something different.
Not because I thought formula was bad.
But because I wanted to try to give my baby what no one in my family ever got: the biological start nature intended.

When I breastfeed my baby, I feel like I’m rewriting our story.
Every latch feels like I’m healing something I didn’t even know was broken.
Like I’m passing forward something that was once lost
the connection, the protection, the power our bodies were designed to give.

I know it won’t fix everything.
But maybe, just maybe…
this small, messy, beautiful act of feeding my baby from my body
is how I break generations of poor health and pain.
Maybe this is how I begin the healing one drop of milk at a time. 💧🤱

Psalms 48:9-10 MSG

The thing no one told me about breastfeeding…

is how lonely it can feel to be the only one who can calm your baby.

how many tears I’d cry in the dark, wondering if I was doing it right.

how much pressure I’d feel knowing this tiny human depends on me for everything.

But they also didn’t tell me how strong it would make me.
How deeply I’d bond with this little soul.
How every drop of milk was a love letter my body wrote just for them.

Moms, what’s one thing no one told you about breastfeeding? 👇💬
