Group 4 used all 5 their senses while making popcorn during their Big Cook Little lesson today.

👁️ see the bag going into the microwave
👂🏻 hear the popcorn popping
🤌🏻feel the warm, soft popcorn
👃🏻smell the popcorn in the class
👅taste the saltiness on your tongue

What a wonderful way to learn about your senses.

Group 1 was the expert testers in our taste test today. If their faces are anything to go by, they definitely know what they like (or don’t like).

My vel laat my al die teksture in die wêreld rondom my ervaar. Met my handjies voel ek grof en glad en die lekker koue, nat verf op die papier. Dit is ‘n avontuur om met al die teksture te eksperimenteer.

During Math and science club Group 5 experimented with their sense of taste, trying to identify and naming what they were tasting. Theme related sensory learning forms the base of our science club objectives.

🏃🏾‍➡️Blaze Buddies - Integrated sports program 🏃🏽‍♀️

Group 3 enjoyed an athletic obstacle course during Blaze Buddies today. Developing gross motor skills through sports related activities is not just fun but an important learning opportunity.

🏃🏃‍♀️Athletic Fun Day🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍➡️

Our preschool family Athletic Fun Day was a memorable morning of laughter, endless smiles and cheering. From the babies in their prams to the grandparents took part and special memories were created. Family and community is one of the most important foundations on which our school is built and through special events like this we strengthen the collaboration.

🐰Interactive storytime -Pets🐱

During interactive story time our Group 3s changed their story into hands on activities. Threading around the story characters and using play dough to create their own characters. Stories are so much more than words... it is a lifestyle.

Ons groep 5 maats werk baie hard aan al die vaardighede wat hulle nodig het vir Gr R. Hierdie week het hulle knipvaardighede bemeester, kreatiwiteit en probleemoplossing toegepas en hulle groot motoriese vaardighede buite ontwikkel.

🤖We are prepared for World Lego Day tomorrow. 🤖

During the Pre-Robotics class Group 4E constructed their own towers. The only instruction was to build the highest or biggest tower by using a limited amount and variety of blocks. The children had to use their imagination and problem solving skills to rise to the challenge.

🧱🧱Building and construction👷👷‍♀️

Construction is the physical representation of wonderfully creative ideas. Group 4 brought their ideas to life through box construction as part of the "Building and construction" theme. Imagination is endless and the ideas created by these young minds knows no boundaries.
