Posture While Standing During Pregnancy 🤰
As your bump grows, your centre of gravity shifts.
Many women unknowingly change how they stand, which can lead to lower back pain, pelvic discomfort, rib pressure and fatigue.
❌ Common Standing Posture Mistakes
• Standing with feet too wide apart
• Leaning backwards and “hanging” into the lower back
• Locking the knees
• Rib cage flaring forward
• Pelvis tucked under or overly arched
• Shoulders rounded forward
✅ What to Do Instead
• Stand with feet hip-width apart
• Stand tall, lengthening through the spine
• Keep knees soft
• Chest open with relaxed shoulders
• Gently engage your deep core (think: lifting the pelvic floor)
