Some of you might have seen a new face in reception, or you might have spoken to her on the phone already. So allow me to introduce the newest member of our team who will be handling all the day to day administration tasks.

Heike het in Maart 2025 na Mosselbaai verhuis vanaf Pretoria. Sy is die gelukkigste by die huis met haar 2 katte, en geniet ook ‘n rustige stappie langs die see. Pizza, pasta en sushi maak haar maag opgewonde, terwyl roomys haar hart bly maak 🍦

Welkom terug, Nina!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Ons is baie opgewonde om vir Nina terug te verwelkom by die praktyk nadat sy die eerste 5 maande van haar seuntjie se lewe afgevat het om by hom te wees. Dis 'n groot voorreg om jou terug te hê, maar ons weet 'n Mamma-hart dra swaar en moegheid kry nuwe betekenis. 🥺

Nina's contribution to the practice is priceless and we are so lucky to have her as a qualified Sensory Integration Therapist on board! 🌟

Vat vanaand jou kind en lees een van hulle gunsteling boeke! Moedig hulle aan om nuwe wêrelde te ontdek tussen die bladsye en stook die passie terwyl hulle nog jonk is 📖

Reading a book with your child, encouraging them to read on their own, or simply introducing your baby to a world of books will set them up for a love to read and learn! Apart from developing language and literacy skills, reading to babies has shown to promote listening skills, fostering a healthy emotional bond, as well as introducing and developing important concepts.

And so the first day of school is done! All the anxiety, excitement and uncertainty slowly fading. We hope that all our kids, families and teachers survived the first day back at school. May this year treat you all well!

Aan al die kinders wat nog hulle plekkie in die skool moet vind, wat nog bekommerd is oor hoe hulle gaan maats maak - mag elke dag nuwe hoop en vooruitsigte bring en mag elkeen sy voete vind.

Baie sterkte vir die besige programme wat nou begin 😃

Aan die einde van die jaar kyk ons terug en reflekteer met dankbaarheid oor suksesse, uitdagings en groei. Al is daar altyd spasie vir verbetering, vier ons elke klein oorwinning van die kinders wat in 2025 oor ons pad gekom het. 🏆 Dis miskien nie oorwinnings wat op die verhoog erken word nie, maar ons weet van al die tyd, trane en harde werk wat ingesit is.

We salute you as parent(s) for the dedication and effort put into endless therapy days and trying to keep up with additional inputs at home. 💚 Thank you for the trust you put in us as therapists and thank you for continuously believing in your child's potential. ⭐

May you and your family find true rest during this festive season. May you see this year's disappointments as oppurtunities to grow and may you celebrate special moments with the ones you love. 🎇

*World prematurity day 2025*

The World Health Organisation advocates for healthy beginnings that can bring about hopeful futures. Every child deserves a fair chance at life, starting from the very first moments they come into this world.
Children’s brains develop rapidly and can be influenced by their surroundings. The first 1000 days of a child’s life can set the course for the rest of their journey into childhood. For a baby born prematurely, these first 1000 days is even more important as extra care is required to meet their specific needs.

The multi-disciplinary team, including the Occupational Therapist, play a vital role in ensuring that the medical, nutritional, developmental and emotional needs of a premature baby are met. Early intervention - starting in the hospital/NICU is of utmost importance to give each baby a fair start in life.

A special shout-out to all our warrior babies who show us the meaning of true resilience and strength 💜💜
