Vocal somatic resonance to support the integration of ease, confidence, and flow into the areas of our lives, where stress has been prevalent in our patterning. The current new moon in Ta**us supports the introduction of cultures of surrender and acceptance. By accepting things as they are, we allow ourselves to receive that which nourishes us. By choice and through practice, we release the negative energies that come with stagnation in the flow of our energy fields. With full presence in every breath and sound, we are offered an opportunity to hone our intention as we apply our attention to the revitalisation of our energy bodies. Remember, where attention goes energy flows.

Four principles of how many sound vocal somatic resonance practice:
1. Relax. 2. balance and align. 3. Active gratitude. 4. flow

As sound amplifies intention, the above four principles ensure that this practice has a healing effect. By taking this time to practice functioning outside of ’flight, fright or fight’ mode, inspiring heart-brain coherence and remembering flow state, we activate the body’s natural drive to self heal.

HUMMING HOUR with Merike. Use your voice to tune your body’s natural energy flow. Principles to practice: 1. Relax, 2. Balance and align (body and mind), 3. Gratitude, 4 Flow. With these we ensure the practice brings a healing effect as sound amplifies intention.

Exercises in this session include the Pang Ming Hum (read more about it here: https://medium.com//the-ming-pang-hum-3ca00e8aefb2), two Seed Sounds systems - one using vowel sounds (Uh Ooh Oh Ah Ey Ai Ee) and one using consonants (L-am V-am R-am J-am (ch)Y-am H-am, N-em, (k)Sh-am Ohm) -, plus a few songs and methods to support this resonance core energy flow practice and underpin the session with Loving intention. The sounding of A - U - M lead us in and out of this session. These relate to A - creation, U - Maintenance, M - Transformation.

Rock all your senses, especially your sense of self.

One reason why humans love dogs is that they don't allow the small things to weigh them down! At Humming Hour we learn from our best friends how to shake it off, and go on with our day like a beast...

LEARN THE PERFECT DOG-SHAKE IN 3 EASY STEPS:

We begin with our ears (imagine them long and floppy), and we end with our tail (once again imagination -besides your dog - is your friend in this).

1. With a gentle twist, begin shaking your neck. Imagine your ears flopping and slapping your head and face as you shake your head from side to side.
2. Keep twisting and move the twisty shake down your spine, moving through all your vertebrae and down your back to finally shaking out your long flexy tail with a flick and a flip. Let every last drop of stress shake from your spine.
3. Repeat as needed.

This shake is specifically effective when practiced daily after any stressful interaction, or after a swim or a shower to shake off the water and the tension. Always be gentle & kind, and you will deepen your practice with repitition.
