Workers’ Day with the family 🤍

What started as a rainy shutdown turned into something really special. The Inventibite factory had to close today — the roads just couldn’t handle all the water — so instead of production… we made memories.

We headed in as a family to “work”… but really just to play.

Ouma Coralie got us going with her incredible handmade ginger cookies, and Hendrik had the brilliant idea to try them on the extruder. What a surprise — it worked like a dream! A true homemade masterpiece turned small-scale production.

Everyone jumped in to help, laughter filled the factory… and HP made a quick escape when the ladies took over 😄

Moments like this remind me how lucky we are — to build something of our own, to have the space and tools to create, and to share it all with family.

A day we won’t forget anytime soon 🤍

We’re layering up pure goodness — crunchy seeds, nourishing nuts, smooth almond butter, and a functional boost from bromelain and papain to support digestion.

Finished off with a hint of ginger that really pops — adding just the right amount of warmth and zing to balance every bite. 🌿

Some days in manufacturing feel like constant problem solving… and unexpected breakdowns 🙃

Recently, one of our dough mixer hooks broke and set us back quite a bit time-wise. Not ideal when production needs to keep moving.

But this is where I’m reminded how lucky I am.

God gave me a husband and business partner who can fix just about anything — especially machinery.

Last night, he worked his butt off to get everything up and running again so we could keep production going today. And honestly… it’s as good as new.

Definitely holding us over until our new monster mixer arrives 💪

Thank you Hendrik Joubert for always showing up, stepping in, and having my back. Forever grateful ❤️

Not always top of my development list… but today, vegan took the spotlight 🌱

Made two bars that definitely earned their place:

Bar 1:
A soft, meringue-like fava bean top layer, paired with a smooth almond butter layer… finished with a crispy base packed with soya protein crisps, rice crisps, and chocolatey fava bean goodness.

Bar 2:
This one leans indulgent — a gooey caramel layer on top, with a seriously crunchy base featuring chickpeas from our friends at Grumpy Snacks

Safe to say… nothing grumpy about these bars at all 😄

Texture, contrast, and a whole lot of experimenting — that’s what today was about.

Well… looks like our protein bars heard it loud and clear — because today they decided they want to be fries 🍟💪

Same functional, high-protein goodness… just flipped into something way more fun.
Finger fry shape. Bite-sized. Snackable. A little unexpected.

We’re constantly pushing to make functional food not just good for you… but something that actually makes you stop, look twice, and get excited to eat it.

Different shapes, different formats, new packaging ideas — all to make protein POP.

This one hits different…
A soft, marshmallow-like high protein core, packed with crunchy honeycomb shards and crispy inclusions… all wrapped in a thin, smooth milk chocolate coat.

Light… but indulgent.

Crunchy… but melts away.

High protein… but tastes like a treat you shouldn’t be allowed to have 😏

Honestly… this texture combo is dangerous.
And the best part?

This is just another day in our factory.
So now I’m thinking…

If this is what we can do with honeycomb…

We stepped out of the “high protein” lane and built something different…
An ENDURANCE BAR ⚡

No chocolate coating.
No filler focus.
Just functional fuel designed to go the distance.

But you know me… I don’t do boring.

So we flipped it into something fun, nostalgic and seriously eye-catching…
👀 ALLSORTS of familiar vibes

Layers on layers. Texture on texture.
Energy + playfulness in every bite.

And the result?
Absolutely nailed it. 💥

This one hits different. Proud is an understatement.

This one completely surprised me…

I set out to create a soft, marshmallow-style, melt-in-your-mouth top layer with a crunchy base — and halfway through I honestly thought: “this is going to be a complete flop.” 😅

But I pushed through, let it set, coated it… and WOW.

No grittiness.No weird aftertaste.Just smooth, airy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness with that perfect crunch underneath. Giving major Panna cotta vibes.

Sometimes the ones you doubt the most turn out to be the real winners 👀

Inventing, testing, tasting… and falling a little bit in love with this one ❤️
