We believe that the church of Jesus Christ is not wrapped up in buildings or property but that buildings and property are simply used as a gathering and resource place for His Church (Born Again Believers and those seeking Jesus Christ) to come together and fellowship. Grace Community Church (GCC) was founded in August 1980 and for the first 10 years operated under the name of Faith Outreach Chris
tian Centre. The name changed thereafter to GCC and moved to the present premises at the end of 1990. The property initially was home to Praise Pre-Primary School, Faith Christian School, GCC, Touch Ministries Int'l (a cell church resource centre), Pregnancy Care Centre, Rock Foundation Int'l (a Christian insurance and finance business), a Christian Bookshop and a HIV/Aids counselling & nutrition distribution centre. The church planted out GCC Madadeni and Grace Mission School in Madadeni and was host to three missionary families respectively in Nigeria, Kenya and Mocambique. After a period of spiritual famine the church has returned under the covering of Church of the Nations (CotN). It continues now in relationship with GCC Madadeni and Grace Mission School while also sharing the premises with Aletheia Christian College, Graceway Church, Newcastle Gemeentskaps Kerk and Gail Sentoo (Individual & Family Therapist). The property has been named "Grace Park" to reflect a property that is to be used by the community and the church in general.
