One of Chi-Nelri’s WORST nights.
Her small body twisted in pain while she lay in her hospital bed.
Right next to her sat her mother… watching, praying, and feeling completely helpless.
Because sometimes love cannot take the pain away.
Doctors have already placed Chi-Nelri on the strongest medication they can safely give her right now — the only thing helping her get through these days.
Still the pain finds its way through.
💜 March is Autoimmune Awareness Month 💜
Chi-Nelri lives with multiple autoimmune diseases, including:
• Rheumatoid Arthritis – where the immune system attacks the joints, causing severe pain and inflammation.
• Autoimmune Hepatitis – where the immune system attacks the liver.
Earlier this year she already underwent major surgery where her spleen and part of her pancreas had to be removed.
Autoimmune diseases are often called “invisible illnesses.”
From the outside you may see a child — but inside, the body is fighting itself.
While this painful night unfolded in the hospital, another reality waited at home.
On Tuesday morning, her father Steve had to get up and go to work after hearing his youngest daughter cry over the phone.
Because while Chi-Nelri is fighting for her health, the medical bills keep arriving.
More than seven outstanding hospital accounts have already landed in their inbox.
And still, her parents are doing everything they can to remain pillars of strength for both their daughters, fighting the financial battle so Chi-Nelri can have a chance at a normal life.
