DIRECTOR POST AVAILABLE
POSITION: Director/CEO
Responsible for planning & strategizing the overall vision, image and direction of the organisation, including financial sustainability, staff development and adherence to applicable statutory legislation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing all aspects relating to the running of the organisation including the financial management (as prescribed by the PFMA), service delivery and human resource management
Ensuring compliance to the Governance of NGO Act and Local and National Government Policy regarding Community Based Treatment centres.
Project design,implementation & operational management including monitoring & evaluation
Organizational planning& development
Ensuring the financial sustainability of the Centres
Fundraising, donor development, report & proposal writing
Networking and liaison with various role players
PR and media work
Developing and managing budgets
REQUIREMENTS:
• Have a proven track record in terms of key responsibilities listed above
• Be multi-skilled, efficient and able to work under pressure
• At least 5 years management experience
• A minimum of 5yrs work experience in an NGO
• Experience in the Substance Use Disorders field an advantage
• Proof of Qualification and contactable references
• A valid Code 08 driver’s License
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Organisational, human resource and financial management skills are essential
• A well-established network and portfolio of contacts in the NGO arena would be an advantage
• Above average communication skills [spoken and written]
• Strategic planning and leadership skills
• Integrity in all areas of personal and social life
• Excellent report writing and administration skills
• Computer literacy is essential
