It’s been a while since those mornings in the parking lot.
Life is still busy, but the numbness is gone. I can actually feel the 'big' things again, the laughs that make your stomach hurt and that quiet feeling of just being happy to be alive.
It didn't come from a pill or a fancy retreat. It came from listening to what my body was actually asking for. It wanted to feel safe, not just 'productive.

I decided that no matter how busy the emails were, I would stand outside for 5 minutes at lunch. No phone. Just feet on the ground and sun on my face.

Following up on yesterday’s post about sitting in my car...
I used to think that 'numb' feeling was just part of getting older or having a big job. I thought I just had to toughen up.
But I eventually learned that when your body is constantly under pressure, it eventually just turns down the volume on everything to protect you. It doesn't just block out the stress; it accidentally blocks out the joy, too. You’re not broken; you’re just 'dimmed.'

I remember sitting in my car in the office parking lot, just staring at the steering wheel. I’d been there for ten minutes. My phone was buzzing with emails, and my to-do list was a mile long, but I literally couldn't bring myself to open the door.
I wasn't lazy; I was just... done. I felt like a battery that wouldn't hold a charge anymore. But the scariest part? I felt numb. I realized I couldn't remember the last time I felt a spark of real, pure joy. I was just 'fine,' every single day.
I didn't need a better planner. I needed to learn how to let my body breathe again.

Doctors don’t have more time… but patients need more support than ever.

Appointments are shorter. Patients are more overwhelmed. And most of what actually determines results… happens after they leave.

That gap is real.

And it’s growing.

This is where coaching steps in… not to replace care… but to support what’s missing between visits.

Most women don’t wake up and decide to ignore their health. They push through because life keeps asking more of
them.

There is always one more thing to handle before they get to themselves. A family obligation. A work deadline.
Someone else’s need that feels louder in the moment. Over time, “I’ll deal with this later” just becomes normal.

The body is patient, but it remembers. Poor sleep. Constant tension. Low energy. Feeling wired but tired. And then
one day it hits you, this is not sustainable.

Caring for your heart is not dramatic. It is quiet choices made consistently. Slowing down when everything says hurry
up. Choosing support instead of powering through alone. That is not weakness. That is awareness.

If this feels familiar, maybe this is the week to listen instead of push.
