Science based tips to boost health and happiness.
1. GRATITUDE – Be thankful for the simple comforts of home: a bed, a warm shower, or your morning coffee. Many people haven’t had these each day this year.
2. RELATIONSHIPS – It’s that time of year to reach out. Spend time with, or send a message to, the family members and friends who have been there for you.
3. MIND POWER – Take control of your thoughts before they take control of you. Don’t dwell on negativity—negative thoughts don’t attract positive outcomes.
4. NATURE – Re-energising includes finding time to rest, switching off electronic devices, and spending time outdoors or in your garden. Feel the energising shades, shapes, and sounds of the natural world.
5. EXERCISE – Although it may seem counterintuitive, exercise boosts your energy and enhances your feel-good hormones.
