This year Mediclinic Paarl partnered with a local NGO, The Grape Community, and donated pre-loved clothing, toys and linen to farm worker families in the Drakenstein Valley and beyond. Employees enthusiastically supported the hospital’s annual Mandela day initiative. The Grape Company, a table grape exporter, and Stems Fruit, a stone fruit and fresh fig exporter, registered The Grape Community as a Non Profit Company in 2009 with the vision to create hope, improve quality of life, and uplift the Agri farm-workers, their families, and local communities. A few hospital staff members visited one of the farms to hand over the items, which will be distributed to workers on the other farms as well. Top image pictured at the back from the left is Johan Engelbrecht (Driver), Carla Viljoen (The Grape Community), Paultrin Arendse, Pieter Willemse and Jacorie Visagie (Client Experience Manager). In front from the left is Elzaan Willemse, Johanna Hoon and PN Analize Groenewald.
