We are delighted to announce the first birth of the new year at Midlands Specialist Private Hospital.

At 14:49 on 01 January 2026, Nolwando Mgwiliko welcomed a baby boy, Ithalami Mgwiliko, into the world.

A birth on New Year’s Day is especially meaningful — symbolising hope, renewal, and the promise of new beginnings. This beautiful moment marks the start of a lifelong journey for this family, and we are honoured to have shared in such a significant milestone.

On behalf of the team at MSPH, we extend our heartfelt wishes for good health, happiness, and a future filled with love as they begin this new chapter together.

These are the moments that remind us just how powerful a community can be. 💛✨

Recently, Midlands Specialist Private Hospital hosted a Cuppa for Cancer Pop-Up Market — a beautiful coming-together of patients, families, staff, local businesses, and partners who believe in hope, healing, and standing beside those fighting cancer.

With the incredible support of our headline partners: Dr. Asmal & the PMB Cancer Centre, Lilly’s Haematology Centre with Dr. YL Naidoo, and the Midlands Gynae Oncology Specialist Centre with Dr B.G. Goldman & Dr B.S. Makhathini — along with our supporting sponsors Jackpersad & Partners Inc., Lancet Laboratories, Zen Medical, Ampath Laboratories, Nutricia, Nestlé, CRAVE and CANSA, we were able to raise an incredible R36,000 for the Cancer Association of South Africa. 🎀

But more than the funds raised, it was the spirit of the day that truly stood out.
From MSPH staff who showed up with passion and purpose, to community members — even those who travelled from outside the city — who came to support, share, and celebrate life…we are deeply grateful.

Thank you for proving that compassion has no boundaries, and that when we stand together, we create real change. 🩷🌼
