With heavy hearts, we honour the life of Dr K. C. Dhavaraj — a beloved and respected figure in Pietermaritzburg’s medical community. As an obstetrician and gynaecologist, he dedicated his life to the miracle of birth, guiding mothers and growing families with calm hands and deep compassion.

His work wasn’t just professional — it was deeply personal. Through every birth, every tear of relief and laughter, he wove threads of hope into the fabric of our community.

When he walked the passageways of Midlands Specialist Private Hospital, his smile shone even brighter — comforting patients, uplifting staff, and leaving behind a legacy written in the lives of the thousands he helped bring into the world.

We are grateful to have shared part of the journey with him. May his soul rest in peace, and may those who knew and loved him find comfort in the light he leaves behind.
