Dr Tyron Dicks is available at ChiroPlus up to and including Wednesday 24 December! We'll then be closed 25th, 26th and 27th.
He'll be available again from Monday 29th to Wednesday 31st December, and closed on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of January.
However he does have some capacity for emergency patients over the holidays.

"Headache tablets" are just pain killers. They simply mask the pain while you hope the problem goes away on its own.
If you're having regular headaches then the solution is not pain medication, it's treatment aimed at identifying the source of your pain and eradicating it.

Tension-type headaches are the most common form of head pain, and they are triggered by muscle tensions and spasm in the neck, shoulders and even jaw.
Treatment with dry needling, massage, Shockwave Therapy, and spinal manipulation can massively reduce the spasm and get rid of the headaches.

If you find yourself clenching your jaw when you're stressed, or grinding your teeth at night, you might be noticing pain and tension in and around your jaw, or even headaches.

The good news is that the muscles in the jaw that accumulate tension can respond really well to dry needling! It's one of those areas that at first patients find a bit weird or disconcerting to have needled, but once they experience the relief it gives they come back asking for more. 😆

Is pain on the side of your knee or in your ITB affecting your running?
Unilateral knee pain normally means a load asymmetry on your legs, quite often from pelvic imbalances.
The pelvis plays a unique role as the central link between each of your legs and your spine, and movement or alignment dysfunctions there can affect your leg length, stride and mobility. Assymetries like this can ultimately lead to overload on structures around the knees, hips and ankles.

At ChiroPlus we assess and correct the pelvic / sacroiliac joint function, as well as use Shockwave Therapy to resolve pain, injury and inflammation on the affected structures in the leg. This way we both treat the pain to provide immediate relief AND correct the underlying problem to prevent recurrence.
