To those who are starting their journey I have an advice for you.

1. Having a gift or being chosen is a beautiful thing that you need to protect.
2. Stop being desperate and don't be easily lured into things you don't know.
3. Learn about the kind of idlozi you possess and how it needs to be initiated or fetched.
4. Don't allow anyone to teach you about what your dlozi want, build a relationship with your guides and know them.
5. Pray, phahla, futha phalaza. Go to mountains and rivers alone way before you go ephehlweni.
6. Izangoma zi lambile, MOST don't care about your pain but your pocket. Chose wisely.
7. Give yourself time to understand yourself and your lineage. You will find out who you are.
8. Ubungoma is not a ticket to riches, you are chosen for a purpose not to be popular.
9. Respect yourself and love idlozi lakho.
10. When the time to get initiated comes, focus on what you are there for not alcohol and unnecessary things.
11. Just because you see most sangomas do certain things, it does mean it's what's right.
12. Amadlozi are not the same and our cultures and customs are not the same. Not every ancestor expects you to appease them with s***f and and alcohol.
13. What you see on social media is not always true reflection of how things are. DONT BE FOOLED.
