The sun rose over Ga Molepo Boshega with a promise of flavor, and by mid‑morning the village central square had transformed into a bustling tapestry of colour, scent, and laughter. Stalls draped in vibrant fabrics offered everything from agro proceeded products, vegatables to freshly‑baked sourdough.
At the heart of the celebration stood the MEC of Agriculture Hnr Nakedi Sibanda Kekana, whose eyes lit up as she walked from booth to booth, tasting a spoonful of creamy Pota Yoga and nodding approvingly at the farmers who had grown the ingredients. “This is exactly what we envision for our province,” she said, her voice carrying over the lively chatter. “When local producers and agro-processors come together, we celebrate not just food, but the very soil that nourishes us.”
Beside her, the Mayor of Polokwane Municipality Cllr John Makoto Mpe raised a bottle of locally‑produced Product (Pota Yoga) , his smile as warm as the summer breeze. “Polokwane is proud to host the World Food Celebration,” he declared. “Today we honour the hands that till the fields, the hands that produce, and the hands that share. Let this day remind us that food is the thread that binds our community.”
