LifeFirst on duty this season 🌊🛟🩺

While everyone’s chasing sunshine and sea spray, our local lifeguards are standing watch, and we’re super proud to back them with first aid kits and CPR resuscitator masks!

This season, LifeFirst is supporting lifeguards across Boknes Beach, Kariega Main Beach, Kenton Middle Beach, Kelly’s Beach, East Beach, and Kleinemonde, making sure they’ve got the right gear to assist in an emergency until help arrives.

Yesterday we wrapped up our last fire class for 2025 with an absolutely legendary group of 16 students from Sibuya Bush Lodge and man, did they bring the heat! 💪🔥

Huge appreciation to Chief Sauls and Snr De Wee from our Port Alfred Fire Department for always keeping us safe. You’re the backbone of these sessions, and we couldn’t do it without you. 👨‍🚒

Thanks for ending our year on such a high note! Here’s to building safer teams, stronger skills, and many more fiery adventures in 2026. 🔥🚒

What. A. Day.
For the second year running, we were honored to be the benefactor of the Viv Jordan Memorial Golf Day, held in memory of a man who genuinely believed in community. 💙⛳

While the weather was treating us well, we kicked off with 104 players on a shotgun start at 12h30, every golfer getting a little gift bag thanks to our major partner, Burnshield Emergency Burn Care, who spoiled everyone with some lekker goodies.

Prizegiving and the auction? Nothing short of amazing. This town never fails to amaze us. The generosity, the bids, the laughter...honestly, we were blown away. Port Alfred, you’ve really built something special with us.

A few reminders of what YOU made possible since last year’s Golf Day:

🚑 72 emergency callouts attended
❤️ 7 lives saved using the equipment funded by last year’s event
🎓 206 people certified in First Aid
💙 126 community members trained for FREE in CPR & choking through our outreach programme

This isn’t our work. This is your impact.

And now, because of the funds raised on Friday, we’re finally able to take the next step:
We are able to set up our own dedicated LifeFirst Training Centre!
A permanent home where we can grow, teach, and reach even further into Kenton, Kleinemonde, Bathurst, and surrounding areas. More community responders. More training. More lives protected.

To every sponsor, every player, every volunteer, every bidder, and every person who simply cheered us on, thank you! You made this day a success, and you’re helping shape the future of emergency response and access to basic life-saving skills in our community.

Here’s to saving more lives, training more hands, and building something that truly is by the community, for the community. 💙💜

It's Golf Day today! We look forward to seeing everyone on the greens and for our auction this evening!

First Aid Saturday with Mooifontein Quarry ⛑️🪨

This is what responsible industry leadership looks like. We spent this past Saturday training the Mooifontein team in essential first aid, CPR, bleeding control, emergency scene management and more.

They work in a high-risk environment, and they showed up focused, sharp, and committed to safety.
A huge thank-you to Mooifontein Quarry for investing in the safety of your staff and your site.

On Tuesday, we spent the day training the Guido's Port Alfred staff in First Aid Level 1, gearing up for the busiest season of the year in Port Alfred.

As always, the Guido’s crew arrived with all the gees, all the teamwork, and plenty of laughs…

We also made sure their First Aid Kit is fully stocked and that all their fire equipment has been inspected and serviced, so their team is ready for whatever this season throws at them.

This is exactly what we love to see from local businesses... investing in their staff, their customers, and their community.

What an awesome Monday morning with the Grade 3s at Port Alfred School! 💛

A huge thank-you to SAPS Cst. S. Catherine from the FCS Unit for organizing Monday's awareness session for the learners.

LifeFirst was invited to join in, where we did a quick demo on CPR and fire awareness, showing the kids how simple actions can save a life.

Karen Blunn from NSRI also spoke to the learners about water safety and why it’s so important to look after our NSRI Pink Buoys around town.

The kids were incredible, full of questions, full of energy, and absolutely fearless on the CPR manikins! 🌊🔥❤️

Always a privilege to share these life-saving skills with our local schools.
