We need you 😊
The Lions Club is looking for marshals to assist with the Herald Cycle Tour on 18 Feb. For every marshal we recruit, as a BuB marshal, our NPO will get R100. 🦯🚲🚩

We would hugely appreciate it if you would recruit your friends, family, colleagues etc to volunteer to marshal on that morning on behalf of BuB. All monies raised will help us continue providing support and services. You will be needed from about 5AM at your point (TBD) until midday.

We were blessed to spend some time with the Elders that are visually impaired and sighted at El Shaddai Old Age Home.

We picked up that they are in need of crossword puzzles- The larger print is specifically extra helpful and then just overall boardgames.

If you perhaps have some boardgames/ puzzle books to donate please, the elders will really appreciate it🙏

Or alternatively, if there is perhaps anybody with the resource to copy the larger print puzzle pages for the group please, it will be highly appreciated 🙏

After completing the 5KM parkrun, join us in a unique adventure through an obstacle course during the White Cane Awareness Campaign!
The aim behind the obstacle course is to help volunteering participants to discover the challenges of the visually impaired. Gain profound insights into the world of those living with visual impairments as you navigate a course designed to simulate the experience of a seemingly simple task – drinking a cup of water or walking without the use of sight. This is an exciting opportunity to walk away with a greater understanding of the barriers constructed by society and the transformative potential of inclusivity.

Let's build a more inclusive society that embraces diversity and support those with visual impairments.
