When girls get together and magic happens! Tonia van Jaarsveld and friends - thank you for the super spoils and love which you brought to our residents for Christmas. You and the girls not only spoilt us with gifts, but also with love, open warm smiles and hearts.... memories which will live in our hearts forever! Thank you for your kindness!!!! We appreciate everything you have done for us!!!
Chris Opperman (Sasol Summerstrand) - you blessed all the residents and staff with fish and chips for lunch - WOW!!! thank you for always stepping in to help and bless us!!!!

To the one and only Poison Dwarfs Group— over 12 years of laughter, loyalty, and legendary friendship… and somehow it just keep getting better. Once again, you’ve opened your hearts, shown up as family, and gifted us the kind of time together that fills the soul (and bellies!)

Your hearts are warm, (your beers are cold), and your compassion and empathy know absolutely no limits. We could not be more grateful for the love you continue to shower on our home — it means more than words can say. We just sp enjoy the time we spend together - heres to many many more!

All in a years work! These volunteers have, with all their hearts and souls, served the Home through volunteering in several ways:
The Board, The Thrift Shops, The Hair salon, Events, Around the home, Gardens, Arts, 🥰Bible Study and so much more. Our eternal thanks from all of us for your love and kindness, your time, your dedication! We love you endlessly!!! Rest up - we will get stuck in again in 2026!

Thank you to the extremely generous Amy Bells Angels…. Dear Irvin Tam, Henriette, Mr L, Kamva and team - you are such amazing kind-hearted and beautiful souls… hearts full of love and warmth! Todays celebration was so festive, and the food was definately better than any masterchef! It was such a fine tribute to Amy Bell…. Sure she is smiling from up above🥰

Disability Rights Day - 3rd December 2025. THE SWITCHEROO! when the carer becomes the resident... and experiences the flip side of the coin. Shrieks of laughter, interesting conversations and awareness. Well done to the carers and the residents for your enthusiastic participation!! An enlightening exercise!

Every day is Black Friday at Cheshire Home Summerstrand Thrift Shops at 7 Gomery Avenue, Summerstrand! New stock has arrived, and the prices are unbeatable! Pop in before 2 each day to pick up your holiday reads, some new beach items, a few odds and ends for around the house, and perhaps a gift voucher for a friend for Christmas! All under one roof!
