Today’s topic: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) - often called a silent killer because it can remain asymptomatic until the very late stages.

In South Africa, approximately 11.5 million people are living with CKD, with Black communities being disproportionately affected. Non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and hypercholesterolemia are among the leading causes, while HIV also contributes significantly to the burden of the disease.
