On your wireless today…

It’s more than just period pain - let’s talk Endometriosis.

What is it? What causes it? Who does it affect, and how does it show up? We’re unpacking the signs, when it usually starts, and why it’s often misunderstood.

We’ll also tackle the big questions - can it be cured, and is it something only women experience?

Let’s break the silence, clear the confusion, and get real about endometriosis.

Today’s topic: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) - often called a silent killer because it can remain asymptomatic until the very late stages.

In South Africa, approximately 11.5 million people are living with CKD, with Black communities being disproportionately affected. Non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and hypercholesterolemia are among the leading causes, while HIV also contributes significantly to the burden of the disease.

A kidney transplant can be a life-saving solution, which is why organ and kidney donation remains an important message that needs awareness, understanding, and action to help save lives.

Tune in and be part of the conversation.

Let’s talk about something that isn’t discussed enough - INFERTILITY. A journey many people face quietly.

In South Africa, male factor infertility accounts for nearly 40% of infertility cases. That’s a significant number, yet it’s often left out of the conversation.

Lifestyle choices matter too. “Recreational” drugs and even certain prescription medications can contribute to infertility.

Let’s talk openly, make informed choices, and remember that fertility is a shared responsibility.

This week’s topic is on epilepsy - a neurological condition often misunderstood and surrounded by stigma.

While epilepsy affects millions of people worldwide, awareness still matters. Understanding the facts, recognizing seizures, and knowing how to support those living with epilepsy helps replace fear with knowledge and compassion.

Join the conversation as we unpack why this topic remains relevant today.
