Kelly Schroeder Audiology

Kelly Schroeder Audiology Kelly Schroeder Audiology was started with the passion to help improve individuals' quality of life She specialized in Speech Language Therapy and Audiology.

Kelly’s passion for helping people with their hearing began when she saw her gran risk losing her hearing from chemotherapy. This is when Kelly realized that our hearing is a gift that needs to be protected and improved to provide a better quality of life for all. She began her journey to become a certified audiologist immediately after school. Kelly graduated in 2011 with an honours degree in Communication Pathology from the University of Pretoria. She then furthered her studies by doing a one year counselling course though UNISA and then also trained in Cochlear Implants at the University of Stellenbosch. Kelly has vast experience in both the private and public sector. She has worked at Livingstone Hospital, Dora Nginza and PE Provincial Hospital. This exposed her to the appropriate treatments for all the hearing issues people may experience across the whole age spectrum. She spent three years working in private practice before starting Kelly Schroeder Audiology in January 2017.

Last night I had the opportunity to share at the Joy of Hearing fund raising event. Creating awareness about what a cochlear implant is, who is an appropriate candidate and the funding of these incredible devices. We also had amazing testimonies shared by CI recipients and how their implants have changed their lives. Grateful to Eben and Marlize and the role they would like to play in assisting individuals gain access to Cochlear implants. ❤️👂🏼Ruth-Mandy Abercrombie Leizel Williams

On World Hearing Day 2019, the World Health Organization will draw attention to the importance of early identification and intervention for hearing loss. Many people live with unidentified hearing loss, often failing to realize that they are missing out on certain sounds and words. Checking one’s hearing would be the first step towards addressing the issue. Download the HearWHO app to check your hearing in the comfort of your own home.
