Dr Dolf Muller Psychological Services I am a registered Educational Psychologist with many years experience in this field. I have been in private practice since 1995.

I also completed several courses in Clinical Psychology including Hipno-Therapy. I have remedial qualifications and have been the head of the School Clinic in Port Elizabeth. Qualifications: BA; BA Hons; MA & D.Phil (UPE)

My field of interests in child psychology are: School Readiness, Scholastic Assessments, ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder/Hyperactive), learning and behaviour/emotional problems. Adults: Anxiety/Stress Management & Depression, Marital/Family Therapy. I practice in various regions: Bluewater Bay, Greenacres PEGP, as well as visiting schools in Port Elizabeth, Despatch & Uitenhage. I also visit Graaff – Reinet, Cradock, Somerset East, Middleburg on monthly basis, as well as Kenton-on Sea & Port Alfred.

Franz Kafka (1883–1924) was a Czech-born German-language writer whose surreal and unsettling stories explored themes of alienation, bureaucracy, and the absurdity of modern life. His best-known works — The Metamorphosis, The Trial, and The Castle — depict ordinary people trapped in nightmarish systems they can’t escape or understand. Though little recognised in his lifetime, Kafka’s haunting vision of power and helplessness gave rise to the term “Kafkaesque,” describing situations that are both illogical and oppressively complex.

Good Hours

I had for my winter evening walk—
No one at all with whom to talk,
But I had the cottages in a row
Up to their shining eyes in snow.

And I thought I had the folk within:
I had the sound of a violin;
I had a glimpse through curtain laces
Of youthful forms and youthful faces.

I had such company outward bound.
I went till there were no cottages found.
I turned and repassed them all slowly back.

And I saw through the lighted window-pane
How the girl’s eyes looked and the girl’s hair shone,
As she ran to the door to look out and see
