There's strong energies happening right now and I just want to sepeka a little into it.

It is definitely affecting how people will experience anxiety and for many more symptoms will appear more physically manifested.

The butterflies in the stomach, the heartburn pain, the joints and period pains.

Mentally the worry may have no breaks and feel.overwhleming ro the point of catatonic inertia.

Exhausted and burnout.

Don't stop and checkout.

Stay attuned and do the work.its inner work not outer work.

Outwardly the work is an illusion and a drain. Internally the work will nourish and vitalise.

Inner work is doing the time to connect, to hear yourself, to filter and rest, share and integrate. Meditate. Flex that spiritual arm. Adorn your spiritual Armour.

Don't fight materialism, greed and power with its own disguise. It's so degrading.

Be the change you wish to see.
Speak the change you wish to hear.
Be true to your inner work and divine calling.

And if you're unsure what to do next....sit in silence and take 3 deep breaths into your womb. Space.

Hold on tight.... happy full moon.

Love Gauri

My 2nd Mentors - A Sisterhood -
After learning from my first mentors — the traditional African healers — I felt something deeper stirring in me. Their medicine opened my heart, but I still wanted to understand the root of healing, the sacred link between the soul, the body, and what directed our health and wellness. Beyond chemicals, beyond matter...something else was there.

So in 1995, I did something few would expect of a medical student…
I dropped out and joined an ashram.

I was searching for truth — and I found it through Vedic wisdom and bhakti yoga.
For the next seven years, I lived in a temple and specifically - with a sisterhood of twelve remarkable women — Indian, African, white, all united in devotion.
We woke before sunrise to chant mantras, cook for the Divine, and serve each other with love and humility. We decorated Deities, fasted, studied scriptures, and sewed garlands through the night — not out of duty, but from a joy that came through service (seva) and austerity (tapasya).

It was the most transformational time of my life —
where I learned that healing begins with purity of heart and consistency of practice.
Where cleanliness, prayer, and food were medicine.
Where we learned that love can be cultivated through action — even when tired, even when misunderstood.

That season shaped how I understand women’s medicine today — the devotion, the rhythm, the nourishment, the surrender. It formed my lens of Sacred Womanhood and vision as Sacred Feminine and Masculine and the Shakti Siva of creation of Universe, of Dreams and of dissolution.

Now, years later, I see how every fast, every early morning puja, every bowl of sweet rice offered with prayer… has been so precious and so pivotal in my deep foundation practice and understanding of life, love and our material form.

🌸 Breast Health Care — Love Over Fear

Every October, we’re reminded to “get your mammogram.”
And while screening can have its place, true breast care goes so much deeper than that.

Breast health isn’t just about looking for disease — it’s about nurturing vitality, balance, and connection. It’s learning what your breasts need to stay healthy, supple, and loved. It’s understanding that your breasts are part of your heart space — your inner mothering, your ability to give and receive nourishment.

In my new Substack article, “Breast Health Care — Love Over Fear,” I explore what real breast care means in a modern world:

🌿 Why mammograms are one screening tool, not the whole story
🌿 The truth about focused vs scattered radiation — and what that really means for your body
🌿 Insights from Dr. Jenn Simmons and major studies on screening and mortality
🌿 DCIS explained — not as a life sentence, but as an invitation to heal
🌿 The deep connection between your breasts, hormones, and emotional health
🌿 How to support lymph flow, reduce inflammation, and restore balance naturally

This isn’t anti-medicine — it’s pro-wisdom.
When we listen to our bodies, we move from fear into clarity and care.

My First Mentor

My very first mentor — my elder, my guide — was Dr Philip Kubukele, a revered Xhosa healer who carried the quiet authority and deep heart of a true ngqirha (healer).

It was just after apartheid, around 1998. Few white women entered the townships then — it was still considered unsafe, even forbidden. I remember one baby crying as I walked in… he had never seen a white face before. Yet within that space, I was welcomed, held, and protected.

Dr Kubukele took me under his wing. He introduced me to healers, initiates, and herbalists. We would meet at community gatherings, ceremonies, and HIV awareness rallies — where I would stand beside the healers, watching, learning, absorbing.

Many hours were spent in conversation in isiXhosa — a language I didn’t yet understand — but somehow, I felt everything. The energy, the rhythm, the prayer within their words.

What I learnt from him wasn’t only about herbs or the role of a sangoma. It was about service, humility, and the sacred responsibility of being a healer.

He showed me that healing begins with listening — to the people, to the land, to the unseen.

Those years grounded my roots deeply in African soil. They taught me to see medicine not just as treatment, but as relationship.

🌿
Igqirha — the isiXhosa word for healer.
It means one who holds the threads of the seen and unseen, who listens with both heart and hands.

I carry that lineage with me still — in every consultation, every woman I serve, every breath I take before beginning my work.

✨ Super impressed — just received my own personal hormone apothecary from a new local compounding pharmacy 💫

I’ve used all three in one cream before, but this time I’ve ordered them separately — to experience each one individually, feel their distinct effects, and deepen my personal understanding of how hormones interact with my body, mind and being.

As a doctor working with bio-identical hormones and women’s health for many years, I love exploring not only the science but also the felt experience — how each woman’s system responds uniquely.

I always encourage women to get curious about their hormones and their own responses — to understand, monitor, and collaborate in their care. Hormone therapy isn’t a one-off script; it’s a path, a living journey of balance, awareness and renewal.

I work closely with women to interpret symptoms, track shifts and find that sweet spot where hormones, mood, energy and radiance align. 🌷

If this resonates — join me for a consult, or come to one of my Deep Medicine Talks (online or local) to explore how we can navigate our hormones, cycles and transitions with confidence, wisdom and heart.

✨ Introducing Yoni Balm: A Ritual of Care for Your Feminine Self ✨

Yoni Balm isn’t just a product—it’s a practice, a pause, a moment of connection with your body and your feminine power. Crafted with natural botanical ingredients that support yoni health, and clinically described and trusted by gynaecologists and health shops, it brings together medical knowledge and ancient women’s wisdom.

Beloved by women for its gentle, nurturing magic, Yoni Balm celebrates your cycles, your body, and your sovereignty. Every jar carries a promise: to soothe, protect, and connect you back to the quiet power within.

Faithful to Nature, Lime Fusion, and other trusted outlets carry it—comment if you’ve found it before so we can share where to get yours.

✨ Stay tuned: Yoni Balm is being rebranded with a fresh, grown-up look. Plus, she’s about to expand her family—two new Yoni Balm products, Pro and Care, will be joining the line in the coming months.

One-of-a-kind. Thoughtfully made. Truly yours.

Yoni Balm celebrated 6 years of being a product this year.

She is a bridge of Botanical and Womb Wisdom and the science of clinical gynae.

I am a medical doctor using traditional and botanicals in gynae care for 2 decades. I consult and teach and create beautiful products. Because our body is in a design of nature - not a design of medicine.

It needs to be heard not dominated.

Post 2: The Betrayal & the Reclaiming

So often, we are left not only with the physical consequences of interventions, but also with the heaviness of self-betrayal — because somewhere deep down, we did have a question we silenced. We could have trusted ourselves.

That severing of our inner knowing by the medical system is not only traumatic — it is tragic, and I believe, criminal at the level of basic human rights.

Radical sovereignty means stepping back into your own body, reclaiming your womb, and listening again to your inner voice — your yoni as oracle. There lies the pathway to your most fulfilling, embodied life: in bliss, in knowledge, and in peace.

I see it again and again - the incredible relationship and communication that occurs when we give our womb some attention. The strongest thing in the world is a Woman's intuition - that because its connected with a code of Mother Nature that is tuned into the frequency of Maternal love, creation, nurturing and grounding.

Our inner womb is the reflection of Mother Earth. Maybe if we tune in with more self-love and compassion our inner frequency can reverberate out into the material world - to protect us from the opposite - the domination and greed that is so prominent in our material world - and threatens to pollute and throw us of from the true frequency we are here to create, joy and live in.

We deserve to be happy at our core.

This is what I share with my clients: information, insight, and tools — not to tell them what to do, but to help them stand in their own knowing and make the right decisions for themselves.

🌹 You are sovereign. You are wise. You already know. 🌹

Post 1: The Story & the Disconnect

✨ Radical Sovereignty in Women’s Health ✨

When I completed my community service, I shadowed the midwife who had supported my own homebirths. My youngest son was still just a few months old, and sometimes he came with me to births — sleeping close by in my carrier while I witnessed women bringing life into the world.

I spent the next decade watching women birth in so many situations, while also walking the path of my own body. What I realised was this: our bodies are deeply wise, profoundly capable, and designed with extraordinary perfection when honoured in their natural design.

Later, through red tent circles, botanicals, rituals, and my growing clinical work, I came to see the miracle of women’s sovereignty. We know what feels right and what feels off. We are deeply connected to our cycles and our wombs — not weaknesses, but strengths that heighten awareness, empathy, and consciousness.

This is why the system has worked so hard to disconnect us from that wisdom. When we are told: “Doctor, you tell me what’s wrong. I don’t know.” — the disconnection deepens. And before we know it, we look back at a hysterectomy, a caesarean, or years on birth control, wondering: was that truly the only way?

✨ Part 2 coming next… ✨

There's a few radical and not a radical things about me and my values that I tend to keep quiet because I have been so ridiculed and exiled in different ways.

I think if I behave and show I'm doing things the right way I will be safe and not vulnerable.

I don't tend to present my values as often they meet with peoples defenses, and I don't like to have to explain my deep hearted truth really.

Here's a few examples. I'm sharing now as I am finally coming to accept that these values are actually good and show discretion and now over time they have become more solid.

I am.proud of being true to my radical stance and have proved it as my children grow up.

Here goes:

Plant based since age 16. Mostly Vegan.

Support wild birth and home births.

Radical trust in our female body and I believe our womb is an oracle.

Breastfed my boys 4 years each.

I do not like vaccines and have not vaccinated my children.

I love Indian Vedic culture and Gauri is my spiritual given name when I was 21 and living in an ashram.

I pray. Often. I serve Radha and Supreme Divine in my work.

I support plant medicine and responsible sacred use.

I know our thoughts and frequency govern and direct our health and wellness but I don't think it's as easy as a patch or a machine. I believe we are the source of our frequency via our consciousness.

I've left medicine several times and come back several times.

I know our bodies are reflections of Mother Earth and we need to learn and treat both so.

My husband is more radical than me. And we are both scorpios and proud of our sting at the right time.

(Working on that)

In my spare time I make botanical medicine and learn sacred geometry. I love quantum physics and believe sacred geometry holds the codes of life and creation which we are looking for.

I'm sharing in case you are tired of going to Dr's who are fear based and system netted.

I believe you are your best doctor and healer and I practice so. When appropriate.

I feel a LOT.

And..... I'm post menopausal 💪

Message me if you want to connect or chat.

Love Gauri

💃 New oestradiols - bio identical.birth control? Or not....

Let's focus on -

Zoely & Drovelis… what’s the difference?

Both are called “new generation” estrogens.
Both are made from plants 🌿.
Both promise relief for women in our hormone years.

✨ But here’s the catch…
They’re paired with different synthetic progesterones.
One may be gentler, one may carry hidden risks.
And the choice? It truly matters for your breasts, your liver, your mood, your long-term health.

As women, we’re rarely told the full story about these options.
That’s where I step in: to translate the science into wisdom you can actually use.

👉 Want to know which one might suit your body — and what safer, bioidentical options exist?

In my newsletters I deepen into the information so you can make personal risk informed decisions with love for your optimal thriving and quality of life.

You can sign up on my site or dm me.

Or discuss your personal needs over a consult. Online or local.

🌸 Knowledge is power. Your body deserves the truth. 🌸
