Welcome to the February edition of The Village Vine. After a well-earned festive pause, we’re back and looking forward to sharing all the goings-on around Park Drive Village in the months ahead.
We hope you enjoyed a restful Christmas and New Year, surrounded by family, friends and familiar comforts. As 2026 begins to unfold, some of us may be setting new goals, while others (including our new residents - hello and welcome) are quite happy easing into the steady rhythm of village life - both approaches are perfectly welcome here. February, often thought of as the month of love, is also a gentle reminder of the care, connection and sense of community that we value so highly at Park Drive Village.
As we settle in, February also marks the start of planned improvements within the village. From the 16th, renovations will begin with the refurbishment of the Frail Care facility and is expected to take approximately three months. During this time, residents may notice contractors on site, with materials being moved in and out via the passages in the area. This work will be carried out in close consultation with AVC Medical and every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum. Once the frail care refurbishment is complete, attention will then turn to upgrading the reception and communal areas.
