How do blind people pour a drink without spilling?

Well there are a variety of different ways that a blind person can pour a drink without spilling, including store bought assisted daily living tools as well as home-made options.
At Nkosinathi Foundation we use easy to find, cheap & practical options to teach our children & clients to pour themselves a drink. Our go-to option is the reliable cork or ping pong ball in a cup method. You just pop the floating item in your cup or mug, place your index finger over the rim of the glass and then pour in the liquid until you feel the cork/ping pong ball touch your finger. When you feel it, you know your glass is almost full so time to stop pouring, take out the cork and enjoy your drink!
