Life Skills Academy

Life Skills Academy Development in Youth (DiY) He has developed the training based on 30years of experience in various working environments.

Life skills academy was founded in 2023 by John Kivedo, the academy core existence is to develop youth in life skills and to create awareness around safety. The research done indicates that our youth needs development in physical skills and the academy focuses on key areas to develop critical thinking, planning, design and problem solving. The lessons are planned inline with safety awareness, project management, individual and group skills development. Other focus areas, financials, drawings, sequences of events, time management and more areas to develop the learner to embrace their educational journey in life. The academy will empower learners (7-18yrs old) to identify and use various tools in a wide variety of trades like carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry and others.

Happy Heritage Day - South Africa

At Life Skills Academy, we celebrate our culture of being innovative where every child is encouraged to explore, learn, and grow.

Heritage is not only about where we come from, but also about the future we build. Here, we create an environment where children develop their skills, confidence, and creativity to carry their heritage forward with pride.

Today we had the privilege of hosting an information session with all Grade 8 learners at Woolhope Secondary School.

Our focus was on building practical skills, safety awareness, and everyday life readiness equipping learners with tools they can use both in and out of the classroom.

A big thank you to Woolhope Secondary and the Grade 8 learners for their energy and participation.

How fantastic is this?! 🙌 Watching these young scholars collaborate and saw so enthusiastically to upcycle wood into jewelry hangers is truly impressive. What life skill shown here resonates most with you? (Teamwork? Practical tool use? Problem-solving? Sustainability?) Huge props to Life Skills Academy for creating these essential spaces where scholars can safely explore, learn tangible skills, and discover their own capabilities through projects like this.
