What a beautiful story!

How sweet is this photo?! And how powerful is this message from ?

​"Representation is not a big deal, until it is.
You might think all types of people are represented in the media- but only because you are *more than likely* similar to the majority of people. For someone like Kennedy, this is not the case.
And don’t even think for one minute that she doesn’t notice, because she’s so young. She does.
The way her eyes lit up and she screamed and dragged me by the arm down the bleachers towards that teenage boy who had magic ears just like her… signing ‘same’ to me. That was the first time she ever saw someone like her.
Every once in a while when we go to weekly therapy and there happens to be someone in the waiting room with processors. She’s so excited and blabbers to them non stop until it’s her turn.
The way she carries this baby with her wherever she goes.
And no, you can’t buy this doll anywhere. It was gifted to us by a friend, who had her friend generously custom design it on a 3D printer. Just so this little girl could feel included.
So yeah, representation matters. 🦻🏻"
