A meaningful day of collaboration for World Hearing Day 2026 👂

Working together under the SAAA (South African Association of Audiologists), several local audiology practices joined forces to support children in our community. Alongside MD Audiology Hearing Clinic, Naudé Hearing Solutions, Kelly Schroeder Audiology, and the PE Provincial Hospital Audiology Department, we screened 153 Grade 1 learners from Altona Primary School and De Vos Malan Primary School.

This initiative, “From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children,” highlights the importance of early hearing screening in supporting learning, development and classroom success.

We were thrilled to have been part of the Life St Georges Hospital Maternity Open Day that took place on the 28th February. We met with expecting parents and shared guidance on early hearing care for newborns and babies.

It's events like these that give us the opportunity to connect, answer questions, and help parents feel confident about their little one's hearing and development from the start.

Will it change how my friends look at me?

The most powerful step isn’t hiding it, it’s owning it.
Taking a “heads on” approach and educating the people around you makes a difference.
