🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – THEFT & ARREST 🚨

Following a social media report of males walking with suspected stolen cables on the N2 in the direction of Baywest, Armed Response vehicles together with Cotswold NHW responded immediately.

Upon arrival, members observed the suspects on the freeway carrying cables. The suspects dropped the cables and fled into nearby bushes. Armed Response officers conducted a search of the area and successfully arrested one suspect who was found hiding in the bush behind nearby houses.

Further investigation at the scene revealed approximately 150 meters of Telkom cable.

The suspect was handed over to Kabega Park SAPS and will be detained for damage to infrastructure.

Thank you to the resident who noticed the suspicious activity and reported it immediately – well done!

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY INFORMATION – MURDER / ARREST 🚨

Extreme Security Armed Response received a social media report of a possible shooting at Walker Drive Shopping Centre and immediately responded.

Multiple security companies, together with SAPS K9, Kabega Park SAPS, and AfriForum NHW, responded to the scene. A resident informed responding teams of the suspect’s direction of escape after shooting a person at the centre and fleeing into the nearby bush.

A coordinated search was conducted, and the suspect was located in the bush and arrested. A clear clothing description played a crucial role in the successful identification and arrest of the suspect. He was instructed to indicate the whereabouts of the firearm, which was subsequently found in the bush.

The victim was declared deceased on scene.

Excellent coordinated response by all first responders.

Our sincere condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time.

3x suspects robbed Rowallan Park Super Shop, stealing ci******es, vapes, and an undisclosed amount of cash. A blue Tazz was involved. Some of the stolen property has been recovered since.

Two suspects were caught for theft after being seen on CCTV stealing goods from a trailer. Extreme Security Armed Response responded swiftly and apprehended both suspects in possession of the stolen items.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – ARREST & VEHICLE RECOVERY 🚨

📍 Location: Nghxwana Rd, New Brighton

Extreme Security Armed Response received information from a colleague regarding a bakkie involved in the theft of motorcycles that was spotted in the Linton Grange area. Armed Response immediately began patrolling and later spotted the vehicle on Cape Road, where it was observed acting suspiciously near parking areas close to motorcycles.

When the suspects noticed they were being followed, they attempted to flee towards Rowallan Park. Armed Response maintained visual contact while SAPS was informed. A joint response was coordinated via social media and WhatsApp groups, involving multiple security companies and SAPS, who assisted by blocking off routes.

The bakkie was chased into New Brighton, where three suspects jumped out and fled on foot.

➡️ One suspect was arrested
➡️ Two suspects managed to flee
➡️ The bakkie used in the motorcycle theft was recovered

During the same operation, a second bakkie was spotted attempting to evade security in the Young Park area. The vehicle was stopped in Keeton Road, where the suspect jumped out and fled into nearby bushes. Further investigation confirmed that this bakkie was also stolen, originating from a different area.

📌 Both scenes were handed over to SAPS for further investigation.

✅ Result:
• 1 suspect arrested
• 2 bakkies recovered
• Successful joint operation

Extreme Security responded to a residential fire where the resident woke up to heavy smoke inside the house. The bathroom ceiling had started to burn.

The resident used a hosepipe to control the fire, Extreme Security Armed Response Officers assisted until the Fire Department stood down.

Thank you to Gardmed EMS, NMBM Law Enforcement, and multiple other security companies for responding and assisting on scene

Quick action helped prevent further damage.

🚨 COMMUNITY UPDATE | MORNINGSIDE 🚨

Bester Emergency Medical Service, together with Extreme Security, responded earlier today to reports of urgent assistance required in the Morningside area.

Upon arrival on scene, it was quickly established that the incident involved a crime scene. The scene was immediately secured and handed over to SAPS, who are now conducting a full investigation.

This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this stage to allow SAPS the necessary space to thoroughly investigate the matter.

Our control room received a report of a suspect starting a fire on the N2, before the Metlife turn-off. Armed response vehicles were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the suspect was busy burning cables. The suspect was apprehended in possession of approximately 50 meters of stolen cable. Metro Police were informed and responded to the scene, where the suspect was arrested.

While conducting routine patrols in the area, Armed Response noticed a fire that had started in an open field near a complex.

Control Room was immediately informed to alert the Fire Department.

During patrols, a report was received on an emergency group of a male who had started the bush fire, including a clear clothing description.

Within seconds, the male was spotted nearby and apprehended.

Well done to the resident who witnessed the incident and reported it immediately, making the apprehension possible.

An NMB Law Enforcement Officer was informed and, upon arrival, issued a fine for contravening a municipal by-law by starting a fire in an open space.

The suspect was handed over to Kabega Park SAPS.

Extreme Security, NMB Law Enforcement, NMB Fire Department, and Secure Fire attended the scene.

Community Cleanup Report – Bridgemeade : Saturday 17 January 2026
Extreme Security joined the community cleanup drive held in Bridgemeade initiated by the Chade Manor Complex HOA , focusing on the area around the vlei. The initiative aimed to reduce fire risk, improve visibility and security, and restore the area for the safety of the community. Extreme Security assisted with the sponsor of the use of their chainsaws with petrol, oil, and a helping hand etc. We extend our thanks to all who assisted. It was a great turnaround with many hands making a difference. Huge thanks to Chade Manor HOA, residents of Chade Manor , residents from Bridgemeade and surrounds , Vernon Boggenpoel and his staff from Ward 12 ,Rowallan Park NHW and Bridgemeade NHW .Your collective effort made a meaningful impact in uplifting and protecting the Bridgemeade community.
