π A 6+6 blade compressor wheel uses fewer primary blades with splitter blades, reducing weight and increasing airflow capacity.
This design supports higher boost levels, stronger top-end power, and greater horsepower potential, making it better suited for track, race, and high-boost performance setups. While spool is slightly slower at low RPM compared to an 11-blade wheel, the wider blade spacing allows the turbo to breathe more efficiently at high airflow demands. In short, choose an 11-blade for fast response and smooth drivability, and choose a 6+6 for maximum power and top-end performance.
