Cartilage contains a high water content - essential for maintaining its elasticity, shock absorption and ability to distribute load across the joint. 💧

Joint health depends on a combination of factors, like:
👉movement
👉loading
👉overall hydration status.

Adequate hydration supports normal physiological function and contributes to the 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀.

On the other hand, suboptimal hydration may affect tissue quality and recovery, particularly in active individuals, those with injuries, or those managing joint degeneration.

💡Bottom line? Hydration = part of a broader strategy for maintaining joint health.
