✋🏻Meet the amazing hands behind our Interventional Team! 🤚🏻
Interventional Radiology refers to the process whereby an invasive medical procedure is performed by a Radiologist, with the aid of our trusted imaging equipment, in order to execute the procedure with utmost precision.
(In other words, we use our machines to see exactly where we place the needle).
Our team offers a growing range of image-guided procedures with a strong focus on interventional pain management and ablative therapy for oligometastatic disease.
This includes targeted pain blocks and neurolysis for cancer-related, spinal, and musculoskeletal pain, as well as cryoablation and microwave ablation for colorectal liver metastases, primary renal cancer, and selected bone tumours.
We also provide specialised hepatobiliary and urological interventional services.
Capital Radiology is privileged to introduce the doctors leading the way:
Dr Eben Strasheim, Dr Riaan Potgieter, Dr Liam Lorentz, and our latest edition, Dr. Lumart Wiechers.
When you need a procedure performed with image-guided precision and care, you will always find one of our Interventional Radiologists available to help.
