A cleft lip happens if the tissue that makes up the lip does not join completely before birth. This results in an opening in the upper lip. The opening in the lip can be a small slit or it can be a large opening that goes through the lip into the nose.
A cleft lip can be: on one side of the lip which is a Unilateral Cleft lip. If the split is on both sides of the lip it is a Bilateral Cleft lip.

Wisdom teeth are notorious for being problematic. When the teeth are misaligned there isn't room for them to break through the surface, causing quite a bit of discomfort. Also, when wisdom teeth are far back, they can be difficult to clean.
How do you know if your teeth are causing problems?
Normally this is discovered during routine dental visits, but if you have experienced jaw pain, swollen or painful gums or a βweirdβ taste in the back of your mouth, you should make an appointment to find out whatβs going on.
