CONTAINER AND MOBILE CLINICS.When deciding on mobile and container clinics it is important to consider what services the patient would require or the needs of the area the units should cover. It is important to understand the geographic challenges when deciding on a mobile or container unit since poor roads and lack of infrastructure may require a trusting and self-sustained solution. Expat Rescue provides a solution for any clinic need our client might have. Firstly, we offer fully fabricated and equipped 6ft (20m) or 12ft (40m) container clinics. These units are built to cover a variety of services/options for example:

• Medical Health Care and Trauma Units
• Full and/or Chest X-Ray Units
• Occupational Health Care (Vision, Lung Function and Audiometry Screening)
• Dental Health Care

Other options include but are not limited to:

• Mobile clinics that are utilized best during major road construction or when moving sites frequently
• PVC or Pre-fabricated buildings units for semi-permanent facilities
• Disaster units in the form of field tents, Inflatable disaster tents
• Isolation Units for contagious epidemics or disease outbreaks for example – Haemorrhagic fever related diseases (Ebola, Lasa Fever etc.)

Rwanda closes border with DR Congo over deadly Ebola outbreak.Rwanda has closed its border with Democratic Republic of Congo, where a deadly Ebola outbreak that started a year ago has killed more than 1,803 people.

The closure came after a second death linked to the Ebola virus was confirmed in the densely populated Congolese city of Goma, which is on the porous border with Rwanda.

The Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) continues to show a decrease in the number of new cases in hotspots such as Katwa, Beni and Kalunguta health zones. However, in other areas such as Mabalako and Butembo, moderate rates of transmission continue. With ongoing EVD transmission within communities in 12 health zones in North Kivu and Ituri provinces, factors such as persistent delays in case detection, approximately a third of cases dying outside of Ebola treatment or transit centres, and high population mobility, pose a high risk of geographical spread both within the DRC and to neighbouring countries. This was highlighted by the recent exportation of cases to Uganda – the first confirmed cases detected outside of North Kivu and Ituri province since the onset of the outbreak over 10 months ago.
