We provide intervention to infants and children with sensory integration, emotional, scholastic,developmental and neurological difficulties. Therapy, evaluations and groups can be claimed back from medical aids.

Hi, I’m Juné 🤍 (My name can be a little tricky to pronounce, so I happily respond to Ney, June, or Juané!)

I’m a passionate pediatric Occupational Therapist and have been practicing for the past six years — and I’ve truly loved every moment of it. 🌿

Working in Sensory Integration completely changed the way I understand the world. It helped me make sense of my own sensitivities and praxis challenges, and from that moment, everything just clicked.

This is my fourth year at SenseAbility Studios — a place that feels more like family than work. In May 2024, I had the privilege of starting my own practice within SenseAbility Studios, and it has been such a meaningful journey.

What I love most about Occupational Therapy is that it’s about people — especially children and their parents. It’s more than just a job to me; it’s a purpose and a calling. Each day is different and beautifully unpredictable, which keeps me humble and reminds me how dependent I am on God’s guidance. Even though I love knowing what to expect, this work continually teaches me trust.

OT allows me to be creative, to be silly, to swing (even when my vestibular system disagrees! 😉), and most importantly, to step into a child’s world. It’s a blessing to walk alongside children, their families, and the incredible team members — caregivers, teachers, and therapists — who support them.

I’m especially grateful to work and grow alongside three incredible women who inspire me daily. ✨

This journey truly is a gift.

Hi, I’m Lisha, one of the occupational therapists here at SenseAbility Studios 👋

This is my fourth year as an OT, and I’ve had the privilege of spending three of those years right here at our wonderful practice. In October 2025, I began the exciting journey of building my own practice within SenseAbility Studios, a step that has stretched me and grown me in the best possible way.

I truly love what I do. Every day I get to help children move toward their goals while equipping parents with a deeper understanding of their little one’s unique brain and abilities.

My absolute favourite part of being an OT?
That smile. That sparkle in a child’s eyes when they achieve something they’ve been working so hard toward.
Or the quiet, powerful moment when a child regulates themselves independently and I get to witness their confidence grow.

My favourite part of our practice? Our therapy ramp!

To some, it’s just a ramp.
But to us? It’s determination going up… and pure joy coming down on a scooter board 😄

It may look like play (and it absolutely is!), but it’s also powerful work for vestibular input, postural control, balance, motor planning, and confidence-building. Big skills are built in small, playful moments.

I embrace every challenge this job brings, whether that means swinging, crawling, and climbing alongside our kiddies (even when my body reminds me I’m not five anymore!) or stretching my creativity to help a child turn their ideas into reality.

We get to celebrate progress every single day , in our children and in their families. And that makes it all worth it.

At SenseAbility Studios, we believe therapy should feel engaging and meaningful. That’s what I aim to bring into every session , helping children grow stronger, more confident, and capable in ways that feel natural and fun.

I love being an OT.

Hi 🤍 I’m Caroline or Coco if you’re little.
I’m the therapist with the best praxis, beautifully organised therapy spaces, and making everything mooi.

I’ve been an occupational therapist for 9 years. For 6 of those, I’ve grown inside the walls of SenseAbility Studios. Since September 2023, I’ve been building my own practice within SenseAbility, stretching, learning, and refining every step along the way.

If there’s one thing I believe deeply, it’s this:

✨ Relationship before anything else. ✨

When a child feels safe…
When they feel heard…
When they know we see them and not just their challenges…
That’s when therapy truly begins and we can implement all of the Sensory Integration and DIR Floortime techniques.

I love working with children and parents to support:
• Sensory regulation and integration
• Parent coaching
• Sensitive & busy nervous systems
• Families walking tender developmental journeys

One of my favourite spaces in the practice? Our Spandex swing.
That soft cocoon in the middle of the room holds so many stories. For some children, it’s their safe haven. For others, it’s a monumental moment of bravery. For me? It brings calm and quiet gratitude.

It represents everything I love about my job: safety, challenge, regulation, growth.

I believe deeply that this work is a calling. That we are entrusted with sacred seasons in families’ lives. And that when we show up with wisdom, humility, and love, growth follows.

I’ve had the privilege of being mentored for the past 6 years, and I’m still learning every day alongside incredible therapists and the families we serve. We truly grow each other here.

And I’m grateful, deeply grateful, that I get to do this work.🤍

Hi there! I am Mieke. I’m the heart, dreamer and the one that opened the doors of the studio we all know and love as SenseAbility studios. 👋.

This Valentine’s Day feels like the perfect time to share what I love most about what I do:

❤️ 13 years of loving working with babies, kids and their families
❤️ 12 years of loving doing things my own way and running my own private practice
❤️ 7 years of loving teaching and mentoring young OTs ❤️ 6 years of loving stimulation groups and running our SenseAble baby stimulation groups

But the real love story?

It’s mentorship and giving back to our OT profession and helping young OTs set up their own practice within mine and growing their love for the amazing work we do. I am deeply passionate about guiding and growing the incredible OTs in my practice. Every therapist you see here is someone I love dearly and have and still mentor closely. When we know better, we do better… even if it means I’m changing systems, rooms, or therapy plans on a weekly basis 😉

I love a clinical challenge. I love thinking differently. I love learning with children and their families because they are always our greatest teachers.

My therapy heart beats strongest for:

💖Following the child’s lead

💖Working with little ones in their earliest developmental stages

My favourite thing: our play house. There is something magical about expanding imaginary play and building stories, roles, problem-solving, and connection. I’m especially passionate about creating larger play spaces where children can move in and out of a playhouse environment, integrating sensory experiences, praxis, social engagement, and imagination all in one dynamic therapeutic space.

When sensory integration principles meet rich, symbolic play within a safe relationship that’s where the real growth happens.

So today, I’m celebrating the love I have for this work, this team, and the incredible children and families who trust us every day.

Today, we celebrate the mommies at our practice.

We celebrate your incredible strength, unwavering love and endless patience. We know the joys but also the struggles that come with raising a child. And we especially know all of this is amplified when it comes to raising a child with sensory processing difficulties.

We see everything you do, the pillar of strength you are and we celebrate you today.

We celebrate the moms who:
- advocate tirelessly, - work so hard to understand the jargon that comes with raising a child with sensory difficulties
- celebrate the small wins that others might miss or take for granted
- calm meltdowns even when they feel like melting down
- do everything to get their child to new heights
- celebrate when their child masters something that comes naturally to others
- are raising sensory intelligent children
- are balancing work, home, therapy appointments and everyday life with grace
- are their child’s voice when they don’t have one
- endure so much and keep showing up

We are so privileged to be able to work with the moms we do. Thank you for trusting us with your heart and your children. We cannot do what we do without you.

Autism exists on a spectrum—just like the spectrum of light, each part is unique. It’s not a one-size-fits-all diagnosis. Every individual has their own challenges and their own incredible strengths.

At SenseAbility Studios, we support each child and parent in navigating their “neurospicy” world. What may be difficult for one person might come naturally to another. Our goal is to empower children and parents, helping them engage in everyday life and tasks that can be especially challenging for those with sensory integration difficulties.

We are honored to be part of these amazing children’s lives every day. Today, we celebrate their unique differences—the very things that make them who they are. These differences should never be a reason for exclusion or judgment, but rather a reason to uplift, support, and celebrate them!
