This month, we`d like to spotlight one of our outstanding team members, Peter Brauer.

A former President of the South African Optometric Association, Peter has built a remarkable career grounded in excellence and patient-centered care. He also served for many years as head of the Contact Lens Society of South Africa, where he developed a strong passion for specialty contact lenses and visual rehabilitation, particularly for patients with irregular corneas or binocular vision challenges such as double vision.

Peter’s expertise extends beyond our borders, as he is also registered to practice in the United Kingdom.

Outside the consulting room, Peter brings the same focus and creativity to his hobbies. He is an avid golfer, an amateur woodworker, and enjoys playing guitar. These interests reflect his precision, curiosity, and love of lifelong learning.
We are honoured to have Peter as part of the STB Optometrists family, where his skill, compassion, and dedication help us deliver world-class eye care. 💙
