Heart-Smart EMS is client based medical service, we are in the process of becoming a full fledged ambulance service. We were at Meulmed Hospital Acadia for 5hours while one of our clients were being assesed by die medical staff. After they recieved there treatment we took them back home. We aim to give special attention to our clients.

Heart-Smart is in Mpumalanga this week with Medical Training at one of our clients and a event in Sabie over the weekend. Before we left for Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, one of our clients needed stock in Hazyview, Mpumalanga so we decided to deliver it by hand, because service is very important to us.

Alpha 1 with its crew is assisting LowMed with the Mpumalanga team in the SA Schools Sports Championships held in Pretoria, South Africa. Sport Codes ranging from Basketball, Rugby, Softball and Cricket are some of the sports. The event is from the 11-13 December. We are proud to assist Lowmed EMS.

Everthing has an end. As from today I only have 2 groups left of the 120 students I started with. An total distance of 180km done by each team from Whiteriver, Sabie and Graskop. This was a though event with alot of challanges but our medical team was prepared and overcome every obstacle. We are proud to be part of this event. And it will become a tradition for Heart-Smart as well as it has become an part of my year. It is my 3rd birthday spent in this amazing part of South Africa and Uplands College. Looking forward to 2018.

The Whiteriver Uplands College Journey is coming to an end. We started in Whiteriver then moved to Sabie and know we are in Graskop. Still 6 teams in the field. The first girls team will be finishing in 2 days ending at Bourkes Luck Potholes. We had a few emergencies so far but all and all it seems well.

The "Beast" was forced to be checked out yesterday as the 4x4 tracks got worse. Luckily it was just a loose heat shield and nothing serious. Day 2 of the Uplands Journey 2017. We are still in the Whiteriver area near Witklip Dam. Today the first boys team is taking part in the Journey. They are currently camping at Gradely Farms and Witklip Dam. The girls challange today was to build a raft and search for there food on the otherside of the dam. Not even the rain, hail or lightning could break there spirit.

It is official its the start of the Uplands Journey 2017. It is my 3rd year doing this prestigious event, Uplands Outreach college situated in Whiteriver. Heart-Smart is proud to be part of this event. It starts on the 14 November till the 30 November from Whiteriver, Sabie till Graskop, about an 100 students take part in this event over an stretch of an 150km. It is there journey to adulthood and maturity. I will keep you informed on the progress.

How to save a life STEP 1: Check for breathing for no more than 10 seconds STEP 2: No breathing or not breathing normally CALL for help STEP 3: Place the heel of your hand in the centre of the chest and PUSH HARD and FAST in the middle of the chest 30 times and blow in the mouth 2 times until you see chest rise.
