Eating too much protein should definitely not be a major concern for most people. Eating too little is far more likely to be an issue.

When reduced to quantitative terms, the "high protein" advocates and the "moderate protein" advocates are actually often giving exactly the same advice after you have done all of the calculating and converting between metric and Imperial units. And what they are recommending is generally more than what many people are actually eating.
