Kids yoga warm up winners
Warming up before any form of exercise is very important as it speeds up our heart rate sending oxygen to the blood. This helps to warm up the muscles and helps prevent injuries to our muscles, joints and tendons.
Kids are naturally energetic throough play and constant movement, but warming up before class is still important. Below are some of my go to Warm up Winners!
1) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Jumps - jumping jacks while singing twinkle twinkle)
2) Row your boat (seen in video clip)
3) Hello sun (a warm up flow greeting the earth)
4) Animal walks (getting kids to walk around like different animals eg: a dog, a lion, a chicken)
5) The cat stretch sequence ( a warm up flow imatating a cat stertching and walking)
