Dr. Nelia Drenth is a skilled social worker with a focus on loss and grief therapy in her private practice. Her qualifications - BA (SW); MA (Medical Social Work) and PhD (Social Work) - as well as her experience as a social worker in various hospitals and in the palliative care environment prepared her for working with the bereaved and others who suffered a loss. Dr. Nelia Drenth focusses on the strengths that lies in each of us despite the pain that loss and death brings. Her service includes individual and group therapy and she shares her knowledge and skills through workshops aimed at the bereaved person, members of the community, and professionals interested in grief therapy.

Living with a brain tumour – or caring for someone who is – can feel incredibly isolating. Many patients and families have shared the urgent need to connect with others who truly understand what they are going through.

We are starting a Brain Tumour Peer Support Group to bring patients and caregivers together in a safe and supportive space.
