✨ Did You Know? ✨
MAP Movement is built on five recognised movement techniques that support the body’s fascia – the connective tissue essential for posture, stability, and mobility.
The 5 MAP techniques are:
1️⃣ Breathing – multidirectional diaphragmatic breathing.
2️⃣ Breathing creates movement – using breath as the foundation for all movement.
3️⃣ Tilt – a tool for testing strength and mobility in linear movements.
4️⃣ Knee Box – integrating breath and mobility into rotational planes; assessing unilateral glute activation.
5️⃣ Spiral Lift – testing glute contraction in rotation and balance between the upper and lower body.
These techniques help individuals improve movement patterns in a safe, structured way while supporting fascia health.
As a qualified MAP Movement trainer, Janine van Wyk applies these methods within a professional scope of practice, tailoring guidance to each individual’s needs after proper assessment.
