🌟 Let’s talk about Crossbites! 🌟

A crossbite occurs when the upper and lower teeth don’t fit together correctly — a situation where the upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth. Crossbites can appear in the front (anterior), at the back (posterior), or as a combination of both.

When left untreated, a crossbite can cause tooth wear (damage) on the affected teeth and interfere with natural jaw growth, which may lead to bigger problems as the jaws develop.

Treatment is often straightforward — simple fixed or removable appliances can be used, depending on the case. Early intervention ensures the best outcome and supports healthy facial development.

If you suspect your child may have a crossbite, it’s best to schedule an orthodontic evaluation sooner rather than later — early treatment can make all the difference.

✨ FAQ: What exactly are clear aligners, and how do they work? ✨

You may have heard the term clear aligners — sometimes called Invisalign or by another brand name. But what exactly are they, and how do they work?

Clear aligners are custom-made, removable trays designed to gradually move your teeth into better alignment. Unlike traditional braces, they’re almost invisible and can be taken out when you eat, brush, and floss – making them a comfortable and discreet treatment option.

🔹 How they work:

A series of aligner trays are created specifically for your teeth.

Each set applies gentle, controlled pressure to guide your teeth step by step.

Small attachments, made from tooth-coloured filling material, are sometimes placed on certain teeth. These help the aligners fit more precisely and improve treatment effects.

As you switch to a new set (usually every 1–2 weeks), your smile gets closer to its ideal position.
