Show Up Before It Shows.

We often wait for a crisis to get involved.

But showing up early changes everything.

Be present before:
* The school calls
* The friendship drama explodes
* The silence turns into secrecy
* The distance becomes disconnection

Connection is preventative.
Presence is protective.
You don’t build trust in the emergency.
You build it in the ordinary.

Show up now - so they come to you later.

Show Up When It’s Hard

Showing up is easy, when your child is winning.
It’s harder when they’re failing.
Sulking.
Shutting down.
Talking back.

But that’s when it matters most.

Show up:
• After the bad report
• After the missed goal
• After the poor choice
• After the argument

Not to shame.
Not to lecture.
But to anchor.

Your presence during their worst moments teaches them:
“I am loved, even when I mess up.”

That’s security.
That’s resilience.
That’s parenting.

Rights are written in law.
Responsibility is lived in ORDINARY moments.

Showing up is not dramatic.
It’s repetitive.
It’s sometimes inconvenient.
It’s often unnoticed.

Until one day, your child shrugs and says:
“I knew you’d be there.”

That’s the impact.

Rights Mean:
• The right to safety > So we show up consistently.
• The right to dignity > So we speak respectfully.
• The right to be heard > So we listen.
• The right to care > So we stay involved.

Children have Rights. Adults have Responsibilities. Showing Up - is how we honour both.

March 21 - Human Rights Day.

SHOW UP.

Rights matter.
They were fought for. They were won. They are protected.

But rights don’t live on paper.
They live in how we treat each other.
In how we show up.

As adults, we are the first line of protection for children’s rights.
The right to safety.
The right to dignity.
The right to be heard.
The right to grow in environments that nurture, not harm.

Human rights begin at home.
In ordinary Tuesdays.
In school meetings.
In listening when it’s inconvenient.
In staying when it’s hard.

Because rights come with responsibility.

Don’t just celebrate rights.
Practice them.

* Show up.
* Speak up.
* Stand up.

And if this message nudges you a little… good.
