Ensuring that you use equipment that is fitted to suit your specific needs can help prevent injury.

Invest in golf clubs that are the right length, weight, flex and grip to help prevent injury and decrease the recurrence of injuries.

If you carry your golf clubs, ensure you use double straps to spread the load evenly across your back or consider cutting down the number of clubs you are carrying. This will help to reduce the stresses and strains in your back and shoulders. It may also be worth clearing out your golf bag to ensure you are not carrying any unnecessary golf equipment.
Golf shoes can provide support during not only the swing but also around the often uneven terrain of a course. They may help prevent falls or tripping, particularly in wet weather.

Dry needling is typically part of a larger treatment plan by your Physiotherapist.

Dry needling is mainly focussed on releasing or deactivating trigger points to relieve pain or improve range of motion. This is accomplished by using “dry” needles, needles with no medication. Research suggests that dry needling improves pain control and reduces muscle tension. Studies have also shown that dry needling can normalize dysfunctions of the motor end plates, from which nerve impulses get transmitted to muscles.

This can help speed up the patient's return to active rehab.

Our feet are our body’s foundation, playing a crucial role in absorbing our body weight and force of impact when we run.So it’s important to make sure they’re protected.

Proper footwear can provide you stability and support.

The way running footwear is constructed is; a thicker heel to absorb impact and a heel-to-toe drop to match the natural gait cycle of running is intended to complement the natural feel of your foot.

Heel drop is the difference in height between the heel of your shoe and your forefoot. Traditional running shoes tend to have a larger heel drop, which may contribute to knee pain.

Proper shoes should feel like an extension of your feet, just with the added proper protection.

𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙤 𝙩𝙖𝙥𝙚

Kinesio Taping is a therapeutic taping technique, which studies have shown, can decrease pain and facilitate lymphatic drainage, this is achieved by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting effect forms convolutions in the skin increasing the space between the skin and the underlying tissue that allows for an increase in circulation in the affected area.

Kineso taping is applied based on a thorough evaluation and assessment to dictate a specific application. There are multiple ways of applying Kinesio tape, each with its specific function and targeted goal. Kinesio may have the ability to reduce pain and inflammation, promote post-surgical healing, optimize performance, prevent injury and promote good circulation.

𝑹𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒆 (𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒇𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒚𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒆)
is an overuse injury that causes pain under or around the kneecap, commonly found in people that participate in sports.

There are many causes of patellofemoral pain syndrome, including muscle imbalances, kneecap alignment and increase in physical or strenuous activities.

Specific exercises can help you improve range of motion, strength, and endurance. It is especially important to focus on strengthening and stretching your quadriceps (thigh muscles) since these muscles are the stabilizers of your kneecap. Core exercises may also be recommended to strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and lower back.
