Although we focus on cosmetic dentistry, we also treat a lot of children. Just yesterday we had a beautiful, brave little 5 year old who sat quietly while we did a root canal and two fillings! (Watch this space... pictures to follow in the next couple of weeks)
Well written, informative article - good oral and dental habits start early and provide the cornerstone to a beautiful future smile.
One important point to emphasize is the fact that PARENTS NEED TO BRUSH THEIR CHILDREN'S TEETH FOR THEM until they have mastered the skill themselves. Ask your dentist or oral hygienist for plaque disclosing tablets to highlight any plaque left after brushing, so you and your child now which areas in the mouth are neglected.
Last thing - GET A GOOD ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH for your child (and yourself!). It will make your job SO much easier and effective!
