A good friend of mine raised a valid concern this week and urged me to start taking better care of myself. He was justifiably concerned about me not sleeping enough.

I guess I better start listening to him and practice what I preach🤭 Experts say adults need between 7 - 9 hours sleep per night, and I feel somewhat ashamed to say I thrive on 6 hours per night.

Yes, Einstein also slept 6 hours per night and he was simply a genius, but we don't do our bodies ANY favours.

Take a look at this video. It might open your eyes to what exactly happens to your body when you think you thrive on 6 hours or less sleep per night.

I would like to also leave you with a tip which may help you to get good quality sleep. I find the use of chamomile tea and cannibis oil to be very useful. It certainly aids me in sleeping through and this do not have harmful effects on the body in comparison to tranquilizers and sleeping pills.

As a wellness coach I always took pride in the past three years in taking care of my health and helping others on living a healthier lifestyle, and changing their lives.

My own weight has recently reached a plateau and although still feeling healthy and filled with loads of energy, I felt my body was telling me something and that I had to listen.

If you think you are eating healthy, but you are struggling to shed those stubborn kilos and fatties you may want to consider having a careful look at how much calories you as an individual may consume daily versus what you do actually consume.

I have found this great app as a helpful tool to assist me in making healthier choices and to shake off those stubborn extra kilos. Thanks to this app I got quite a shock in seeing how much calories I was consuming when it came to beverages, forcing me to reconsider healthy alternatives over what I thought won't do harm (for one I didn't know honey was so high in calories!)

Blaming it on hormones and age is simply NO option!
